My question is, Is it really necessary to set aside a specific day to honor women? Or Do you genuinely think that Women's History can be commemorated on just one date? As everyone is aware that setting specific dates for these days is to provide focused occasions for honoring, raising awareness, and reflecting on the significance of these events or individuals. Do we really need that? Assigning a specific date to celebrate women's achievements can both highlight progress and risk trivializing ongoing struggles. While it offers a focal point for activism, it's crucial to recognize women's diverse experiences and advocate for equality every day. What's your opinion on this matter? #WomenEveryDay #BeyondOneDate #ContinuousCelebration #EqualityAlways #DiverseRecognition #InclusiveAppreciation #YearRoundEmpowerment #RecognizeDaily

Queenfisher for the Queens from the Kings at Kingfisher! Very interesting product launch from United Breweries. A nod to diversity and inclusion at the intersection of alcohol. As a current cohort of brand strategy course, I am wondering what was the need behind introducing a beer especially for women. On the plus side, it does ride the wave of woke conversations about being inclusive. On the flip side... well let's just stay on the plus side for a bit. + side: --Acknowledges that women drink beer, without shaming or judging. --Recognizes the paying potential of women --Notes (hopefully) increased decision making power of women On the flip side-- a beer is a beer is a beer. The perceived advantage of pitching a beer for women may be limited by the target group. It would be very interesting to see men choose 'women's beer'. Traditionally any 'women's drink' is low on alcohol, giving women an opportunity to join the drinking (men's) club. Men choosing Queenfisher may be teased for being a lightweight. As a woman, myself, would I prefer a Queensfisher-- maybe if it has other USPs besides the name. Luring me away from a Carlsberg Elephant or a Guinness would be very difficult indeed! (Note for my non- Indian friends- Kingfisher is an Indian beer brand. To be honest, it is not just a beer but an experience think on the lines of Bacardi Rum. The brand has a catchy signature jingle with a slogan an (almost iconic) slogan-- King of Good Times.) #Carlsbergelephant #Carlsberg #KIngfisher #Guiness #beer #gender #diversity Laura Seidl Dr. Ashita Aggarwal Samidha Mathur Selina Sophie Janisch-Pryce
