The landscape architecture industry is increasingly adopting BIM to meet the demand for data-rich projects. 3D models alone are no longer enough, requiring additional metadata to ensure the design aligns with project goals. For example, plant selection requires specific data based on factors like region, water needs, cost, and sunlight requirements. Enriching planting elements with all necessary information poses a significant challenge. Imagine a feature that will highlight (say red=no go) while using plants shade sensitive in a wrong location. The model can iseantidy shaded areas due to surrounding buildings and trees.
