This is an interesting move. 365 Retail Markets, a global provider of unattended retail technology, announced the acquisition of Impulsify, a Denver-based retail technology firm focused on providing grab-and-go experiences in #hotels and multifamily communities. We don't see very often that retail #tech providers enter the #hospitality market. Did you know that basketball originally was played with a soccer ball, and took the jump ball from rugby? It's amazing how different things can inspire new ideas. This made me think of our customers that call their #customers "guests" – just like hotels do. Usually, "guest" is for places you stay, but they use it to show they want their customers to feel welcome and special. Then I read this article about how hotels are using technology to give guests a more personal experience. It made me realize that both hotels and home furnishing #retailers are trying to do the same thing: using #technology to help make their customers feel special.
