You might be a DMC, tour operator or a business in another sector. You might be based in the UK or overseas and want to tell your guests more about Edinburgh before they come. You might not have information about Scotland’s capital city on your own website. So where do you find that trusted and authoritative information? Truly Edinburgh could be the answer. But What is Truly Edinburgh? This link will take you to the site. https://lnkd.in/eyJn-Phz Truly Edinburgh is an informational website, dynamic in nature, which delivers in-depth and reliable information, gathered using traditional research methods, not AI. It’s researched and written by somebody who knows Edinburgh/Scotland well. It’s jargon free without travel cliches. There are links to more visitor information and suggestions for further research and reading too. Of course, you will find information about Edinburgh Castle, St Giles’ Cathedral and all the best-known sites but there is so much more that visitors to the city would love to know. This small selection is an indication of the content variety: •Edinburgh’s 18th century convivial clubs and societies •Places to eat haggis in Edinburgh. •Where to hire a kilt in Edinburgh. •Edinburgh scientists who changed our lives. •Places in Edinburgh connected to Mary Queen of Scots. •People and places connected to Adam Smith in Edinburgh. •The best places to buy whisky in Edinburgh. •NTS properties in Edinburgh. • St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral. • Magdalen Chapel. •Information about some of the men and women who made their mark in Edinburgh. •Edinburgh’s monuments and statues. •And much more. #edinburghbusiness

I help travelers experience authentic Italy through small group retreats in Florence & Tuscany. Soon Sardinia and Puglia :)
[Italy Travel Question] What are your 3 tips on traveling in and around Florence? 1. Florence is the easiest city to walk. The city has pedestrian streets all over. The street signs are located on the walls of each building, so look up to find the street you are on. 2. There is an afternoon break that most of the city takes. between 1pm-4pm (if not in the city center) most shops, restaurants and smaller museums close. In the summer in particular, streets in smaller neighborhoods could be deserted during these times. 3. Pre-book your museum tickets to save you time waiting in line all morning. It's easy to do. Be aware to buy the tickets directly from the museum, not other affliate sites. Prices could be higher if you do that. The world is a living museum, its history etched in every crumbling ruin, towering castle, and bustling marketplace. By experiencing traditional music, cuisine, and festivals, you gain a deeper understanding of the values, beliefs, and stories that make a place unique. It's a chance to connect with the local people on a human level and see the world through their eyes. So, pack your curiosity along with your bags. Let the whispers of the past guide your journey. When it comes to city tours, I always think about the concept of MS&HG - Must Sees and Hidden Gems. Travelers often come to see the famous landmarks and popular spots that define a city. These must-see attractions are essential to understanding the heart of a place. However, what often makes a trip truly special are the hidden gems – those lesser-known spots that reveal the city’s unique charm and character. Balancing your itinerary with a mix of both can transform your travel experience. I’ve found that a great formula is to spend about 70% of your time on must-see attractions and 30% on hidden gems. This way, you get a full picture of the city’s highlights while also discovering its secret corners. Whether it's a quiet café off the beaten path, a secluded park, or a small local museum, these hidden gems can offer moments of surprise and delight. They enrich your understanding of the city and provide a more personal connection to the place.
