For over a century, Bergdorf Goodman's holiday windows have been an extraordinary expression of creativity and a cultural gift to New York City. CBS Mornings got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at this year's displays, which pay homage to Fifth Avenue. Correspondent, Michelle Miller, sat down with BG president, Darcy Penick, and the creative mastermind behind the designs, David Hoey, to explore the unparalleled level of craftsmanship and rich history of the annual tradition.

Monday is sometimes the longest day of the week😁 Sometimes is not the same is all the time. Is your Workstation holding you back? How long has it been since your company updated the office decor? Certain colours might be best avoided depending on the environment and desired atmosphere:- While grey can be sophisticated, too much dark grey or black can make a space feel gloomy or oppressive. Red can be energising, but in large amounts, it might cause anxiety or stress, which isn't ideal for a workspace. Neon shades can be overly stimulating and distracting, potentially leading to visual fatigue. While white can make a space feel clean and spacious, an excess of it may lead to a sterile or cold environment, lacking warmth. Drab Browns or Beiges, colours can make a space feel dull and uninspiring if not balanced with other lively colours. Yellow can be cheerful BUT too much of it can cause eye strain and irritation, leading to discomfort over time. #notthrowingshade #whatdidthebossrateyouthisyear #yourfaultorhishers #icangothedistance

It's giving Bridgerton vibes... Captured another wedding with the team shooting photo + video at a gorgeous wedding at the Epic Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, Rhode Island. Some fun facts: Built: 1896-1901 by U.S. Senator Nelson W. Aldrich, a key figure in shaping U.S. economic policy. Location: Warwick, Rhode Island, overlooking Narragansett Bay. Architectural Style: French Renaissance with 70 rooms, including ballrooms and dining halls. Original Cost: $1.5 million (equivalent to over $50 million today). Historical Significance: Tied to the powerful Aldrich family and later, the Rockefellers (via Abby Aldrich Rockefeller, co-founder of MoMA). Ownership: Sold to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence in 1939. Current Use: Event venue for weddings, corporate functions, and retreats. Estimated Value Today: $20-30 million, factoring in its historical significance and waterfront location. A true symbol of Gilded Age opulence, Aldrich Mansion stands as a testament to the intersection of wealth, power, and history in America. Whether I'm shooting at a mansion in Newport, Warwick or Boston im always fascinated with the architecture and the story of these beautiful locations.

I often get asked about the charm of Chicago's neighborhoods, and two that always come to mind are Humboldt Park and West Town. Starting with Humboldt Park, this neighborhood is a vibrant blend of history and culture. The centerpiece, Humboldt Park itself, is a stunning 207-acre green space featuring a historic boathouse and a fieldhouse dating back to 1928. It's not just about the scenery; Humboldt Park is the heart of Chicago's Puerto Rican community. The iconic Division Street Paseo Boricua, marked by two grand steel Puerto Rican flags, celebrates this rich heritage. If you're around during the annual Puerto Rican Festival, you're in for a treat with traditional music, food, and vibrant festivities. And for those who love a quiet moment, the Humboldt Park Lagoon offers a peaceful paddle boat experience right in the middle of the city. A short journey east brings you to West Town, another favorite of mine. This neighborhood is where the old meets the new in the best possible way. It's a creative haven, with the Chicago Avenue arts district showcasing countless galleries and studios. West Town's history is fascinating, with deep roots from Polish and Ukrainian immigrants, reflected in the local delis and bakeries. Architectural enthusiasts will appreciate the historic Holy Trinity Cathedral, designed by the legendary Louis Sullivan. And if you're into food and drink, West Town has a diverse culinary scene, including gourmet tacos and craft breweries. The annual West Town Art Walk and Food Truck Social are must-visit events that perfectly capture the neighborhood's creative and culinary spirit. Whether you're exploring the cultural landmarks of Humboldt Park or diving into the artistic and culinary delights of West Town, these neighborhoods offer a unique and vibrant slice of Chicago life. They're perfect for anyone looking to discover the city's true essence. #HumboldtPark #WestTownChicago #ChicagoCulture #ChicagoNeighborhoods #ChicagoHistory #ExploreChicago #ChicagoLife #CityGuide #chicagoparks #chicagofoodscene
