After being employed throughout my entire career, I have now decided to take a leap of faith and start my own company, TN Brands.  I am very excited about this new chapter that I´m sure will challenge me in different ways, but also give me lots of new insights, learnings and development, both professionally and personally. What will TN Brands do?  In short, the idea behind TN Brands is to help brands succeed in Global Travel Retail.  Whether you are a company/brand that wants to enter into Global Travel Retail (GTR) for the first time, or if you are already present in the marketplace but want to take it to the next level, we are here to help. TN Brands offers business consulting services related to Global Travel Retail and can, for example, help you develop go-to-market strategies and sustainable growth plans. We can also act as your agent within the industry. Why the name TN Brands?  Well, TN is actually the first letters of my two son's names, Theodor and Nicholas, so it has a special meaning to me and the company will now undoubtedly become my third "child". Why should you choose TN Brands?  Firstly, I spent the last 11 years working in Global Travel Retail, managing a variety of regions and channels within GTR so I have vast experience and a deep understanding of how the industry operates. We know what it takes to win in the marketplace, and how to go about it. Private equity firms are buying up brands again. Authentic Brands Group (ABG) recently purchased parts of Collective Licensing International, LLC — Airwalk, Hind, Vision Street Wear, and Above the Rim. While they had owned some of these properties in limited ways, ABG has fully acquired each brand bringing with them all of their licensees. I believe more private equity firms should move into the licensing space. Shifting consumer dollars are signaling that younger generations are open to both brand new and forgotten legacy brands. Licensing is a high-profit margin business model, which should be very attractive for private equity firms.
