This one is a little different for RIA+. A number of RIAs, both inside and outside of the Emigrant Partners community, have consistently shared with me that they are "Traction" firms (referencing Gino Wickman's best-selling book, for anyone not familiar). The more I heard this, the more I naturally had to ask: Why is this increasingly common in the RIA space? What does it actually mean to consider yourself a "Traction" firm? In a highly entrepreneurial field - especially one that has experienced rapid growth and expansion - a clearly defined operating system and framework for running a business can be the difference between a good RIA and a great RIAs. To go deeper on this, I was incredibly fortunate to spend some time with Mike Paton, one of the leading Entrepreneurial Operating System voices in the country. Mike has worked with thousands of entrepreneurs, and he shared with me how EOS principals are changing the game for RIA leaders committed to professionalizing the management of their teams, businesses - and future growth. (And yes, I'm halfway through Traction right now and I'm mad at everyone on LinkedIn for not recommending it sooner.) Enjoy episode 8 of RIA+: https://lnkd.in/ejS7w7-r
