Let's take the first one. The Political Parties are more interested in "playing King of the Mountain" than doing what their constituents want. That would explain the single digit approval ratings. The Democrats have championed the framework of High-Speed Rail projects under the Obama Administration. More evidence of calls for funding public transport falling on deaf ears. The U.S. has enough roads, and enough cars polluting these same roads. Whereas the network of bus, rail and cycling options available to the majority of Americans are hanging on by a bare thread! Of the reported funds to states as part of the bipartisan infrastructure law, more than half have been spent on resurfacing and expansion of highways. Just a fifth has gone to public transit. Imagine what could happen if this were reversed? Lower emissions, reduced congestion, and happier populations. #PublicTransit #Infrastructure #Highways #Mobility
