Exciting investment in new research projects to boost environmental resilience, wellbeing, and sustainability across the UK! 🌍 🌊 £14.8M Resilient Coastal Communities and Seas Programme: A transdisciplinary approach to understanding and boosting the resilience of coastal communities in all four nations of the UK. We are funding this work alongside UK Research and Innovation, Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) NERC: Natural Environment Research Council and Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs 🏡 £9.5M Place-based Sustainability Research: We are delighted to fund five innovative projects that will research place-based approaches to an environmentally sustainable future, providing evidence to support local and national decision making. I thank the UK government for launching the Ministerial taskforce to kickstart work on child poverty strategy.
