A true cultural icon in Spanish gastronomy.
🫒 In the world of Spanish gastronomy, there are tapas that transcend the simple and become true cultural icons. One of them is, without a doubt, the Gilda This small snack, which combines olives, chili peppers and anchovies, not only represents a delight for the palate, but is also a symbol of the culinary tradition of northern Spain, especially the 📍Basque Country. #gilda #spanishfood #canada

The Power of Wine Events to Boost Sales 🍷 While tasting rooms and wine tourism are popular strategies for wineries, their impact on sales is often limited. Many wineries—especially in Spain—find that tastings and tours result in only modest gains, largely relying on the few bottles that visitors might purchase. Wine tourism is undoubtedly growing globally, but the real potential lies in shifting focus from traditional tours to more engaging and experiential events. Instead of concentrating solely on technical wine knowledge, which can sometimes be overwhelming or uninteresting to casual consumers, wineries should consider hosting lively and interactive events such as festivals, live music performances, or creative activities like "paint and sip" sessions where guests can paint their own wine glasses. Successful spirits brands have already embraced this approach by sponsoring large-scale events like festivals, where their products are enjoyed in a more relaxed, fun atmosphere, leading to rapid sales increases. It’s a model that wineries could benefit from adopting. Perhaps it’s time to rethink wine tourism. Most consumers simply want to enjoy wine in a fun and memorable setting rather than engage in a deep educational experience. What are your thoughts on this? Have you seen success with wine events over traditional tasting rooms? Is it time for a change in approach? #wine #winesales #wineindustry

Dry January is upon us, and this year, the trend of low-alcohol cocktails and 0% alcohol spirits is on the rise; new spirit companies are rising more, events are popping, and more guests lean towards quality over quantity. With this shift in consumer preferences, the hospitality industry will need to adapt to remain competitive in 2024. How will bars and restaurants respond to this trend? Share your thoughts in the comments below. #DryJanuary #LowAlcoholCocktails #HospitalityIndustry #2024Trends

#wineparisvinexpo a few thoughts about the fair. 1- the location is perfect compared to the other big wine events. Prowein specifically, being a great place, is catastrophic for all other aspects. In Paris, accommodation is perfect, easy and cheap in comparison. The transportation is easy and efficient. The fair doesn’t impact in any way the usual business of the city. As opposed to Prowein, which overwhelms every aspects of the city. 2- the organisation of the pavillons is getting better, even though I noticed some issue in advertising the Austrian and German winemakers for example. 3- the scanning of entry pass and the cloakroom need improvement. The personal was not always very kind and that is an issue. 4- the website is a pain and the app has huge shortcomings (like impossible to find the location of an exhibitor in the app). And not possible to read the messages (as far as I have checked). 5- more cooperation could be done to promote the gastronomy. We still lack food trucks of a bit fancier food counters (though Paul is quite acceptable). I still think the Mac Donald’s located within the Expo Parc is a shame. Overall the fair was a success, I hope it develops further and stay where it is located. See you soon Wine Paris.
