There are two type of recruiters in tech. There are internal recruiters who work in house and external recruiters at agency who are paid a commission by the company to staff an extremely urgent role. 80% of the positions in tech haven’t even been posted yet, because everybody procrastinates doing work they and there’s nothing a refuting hates more than posting up jobs. Yuck, just writing this out brings back such painful memories.
