The recognition of the importance of improving diets during the #first1000days, from conception to 24 months of age, has been of particular focus in nutrition programming across humanitarian contexts in recent years. Improving infant and young child feeding (#IYCF) practices, promoting exclusive #breastfeeding, and complementary feeding are essential components of improving diets in children under the age of two. However, the primary focus has been on promoting exclusive breastfeeding and less on complementary feeding practices in emergency contexts.
