#customerdiscovery #interviste
How do researchers design their interview scripts? I think we can learn a lot from others' approaches to research, so I've been exploring notations for interviews that allow us to compare and contrast interview scripts. I previously wrote about visualising lines of inquiry. This time: visualising open/closed questions, question words, and Spradley's question types. https://lnkd.in/e5DgxtxD

When HR calls candidates to remind them about their upcoming interview, and they respond with, "I can't attend because I was suddenly hospitalized." 🙄 (Is it just me, or do other HR professionals also find that candidates have a mysterious knack for landing in the hospital right before their interview?) 🤔 Meanwhile, HR's reaction: #interview #hospital #hrlife #recruitmentstruggles #HRproblems #unbelievableexcuses #herewegoagain If you've been in HR long enough, you've probably heard every excuse in the book. But there's something about the last-minute hospital visits that really take the cake!

An interview should be a mutual process, not an interrogation: Typical interview questions feel like an interrogation. When interviews become 2-way conversations - Everyone wins. Use these questions I have been using for 20 years. It's time to change the game. These unique set of questions are your key. These questions aren't just inquiries. They're the keys to unlock a candidate's potential. __________________ ▶️ For Job Seekers: Did you know over half regret their new job choice? It's often due to a lack of clarity during the interview. With these questions, you become the interviewer. Ensuring your next job feels like home. __________________ 👇 Want a PDF of my top infographics? 👇 ▶️ Go Here: https://lnkd.in/g2xbnwhp Please repost to help others out there! ♻️

There’s so much to remember before and during a job interview: your appearance and attitude, how you think, feel and what you say—plus, how you behave—all of which are important. But one skill set, in particular, is often overlooked. Employers have come to appreciate emotional intelligence (EI) as a pivotal tool essential for success in today’s job market. As crucial need for abilities such as empathy, collaboration and adaptability continue to grow, experts are starting to refer to them as “durable” skills that can be developed in the same way as playing a musical instrument or being proficient in a sport. This skill set is shown rather than told through body language, facial expressions and demeanor. Here’s how to start practicing these skill sets so you automatically reflect them in a job interview: https://trib.al/Rco0Xx7
