Most companies lack a viable customer support plan that doesn’t require customers to call in. The current customer support model is largely based around email, chat and phone calls. If you start to track these support calls and questions, you’ll find that 80% of your support request are the same handful of topics. You could easily create videos as a first point of contact for your customers as they are likely already search your website or Google for the solution. YouTube is the second biggest search engine so why not use it to your advantage. By creating a video based customer support system, you can reduce delays for your customers and have your support staff dealing with the 20% that actually need human input. Also, this is a great strategy if you don’t have a large support budget because videos only need to be produced once.
