The Port of Baltimore is critical to our nation's economy. In Maryland's economy, the Port of Baltimore generates nearly $3.3 billion in total personal income and supports 15,330 direct jobs and 139,180 jobs connected to Port work. In 2023, the Port ranked first in the nation in handling automobiles, light trucks, farm and construction machinery, as well as imported sugar and gypsum. The Port ranked second in the country for exporting coal. In 2022, the Port ranked sixth for importing coffee, 119,000 tons worth $609 million. Join us at the Pan African City Expo to hear Maryland Port Administration Executive Director Jonathan Daniels talk about the future of the Port of Baltimore and its relationship to the Port of Durban, with the second largest shipping container business in the entire continent of Africa. Maryland has an agreement with the Province of KwaZulu Natal, home of the Port of Durban. As the US is South Africa's largest trading partner, the Post of Baltimore is a critical part of maintaining that that strong relationship. Join us. https://lnkd.in/evW-cbcm
When you see the Key Bridge site up close, you understand the enormity of the challenge and the need to move forward urgently. Maryland is grateful for all the bipartisan Members of Congress that are putting partnership over partisanship to help us fully reopen our Port and rebuild the Bridge.

Wounds Australia has had a long and successful association with EWMA • European Wound Management Association. This week, our partnership was formalised in an agreement that will bring rich benefits to members of both organisations. The agreement helped define the ways in which EMWA and Wounds Australia continue to work together to improve care for people living with wounds. "A great deal of research, cross-pollination of ideas and innovations, and general collaboration has taken place between our organisations over the years, This agreement brings clarity to this work while better defining the benefits to members." Members enjoy reciprocal benefits Wounds Australia members will enjoy significant discounts on attendance at EWMA events, including their annual Conference, while EWMA members can access member pricing for Wounds Australia events. Additionally, Wounds Australia retains its place on the EWMA Council – currently occupied by our Board Chair Kerry May – and both organisations will continue to cooperate on Conference programming, research and other scientific collaborations. Thank you to the Leadership of EWMA, Isoherranen Kirsi Sebastian Probst Dimitri Beeckman

My comprehensive analysis of the recent numbers from the Southern Baptist Convention. Some good metrics: baptisms and attendance are both up. Some not so good: membership is still in free fall, still exceeds new baptisms. https://lnkd.in/g8TTfYj9
