This week, we hosted both an Internal Career Fair and a Leadership Roundtable event for our Futures! At the Internal Career Fair, they engaged with representatives from various departments, gaining insights into their roles on #TeamNTST. The Leadership Roundtable provided them with valuable perspectives on leadership, industry trends, work-life balance and career development opportunities at Netsmart. It’s been great to watch all the growth and learning that has already taken place within this group and we’re excited for the rest of the summer with our Futures!

Here are key insights from today's session: - Embracing Influence Over Control: We explored the concept of influence as a powerful tool for leadership, regardless of title. My fellow panelists shared inspiring anecdotes of how they leveraged their influence to drive change and motivate teams. - Fostering Trust and Collaboration: Trust emerged as a central theme in our discussion. Yesterday I got to attend a great event as part of #Utahtechweek sponsered by @siliconslopeswomeninleadership. I met with a variety of individuals that are part of Salt Lake City's incredible tech scene. There were a number of recruiters there and what stood out to me from my conversations is the consistency of the message about today's current job market, "you have to lean on your network." I heard over and over what a slog (I'm paraphrasing) it is for recruiters to go through hundreds to thousands of resumes for each of dozens of positions they are expected to fill. As someone who has occasionally sourced, recruited and hired for positions, I empathize with that challenge. So for those of you who, like myself, are working on finding your next role, take heart if you rapidly get an automated rejection. It isn't always what you know, it's who you know. During this personal season of growth and learning, I've been intentional and unapologetic about expanding my network and through that I've met some really incredible people who are doing amazing things. These encounters bring me energy and joy and I'm so grateful for those of you who have shared your passions and stories. If there's anyone in my network I can connect you with, whether you are searching or not, please reach out. If you know me, you know my favorite thing in the world is to connect awesome people to other awesome people. As everyone knows, Andersen Corporation has been one of my biggest supporters since the inception of the People Of Color Career Fair™. You personally always do your best to stop by and support your recruiting team, and expand your own networks. But what you did this past year deserves special recognition. 🌟 In 2022, we launched the KBR Pathways program, which is an internal career fair, in direct response to feedback from our People Perspectives Survey. Employees wanted to learn more about opportunities within the organization so over the past year and a half, 13 different business leaders presented overviews of their business, skillsets required, and open job opportunities across KBR. We are excited to transition this program to focus on "Skills of the Future". Moving forward, each Pathways session will cover different skillsets needed to grow, develop and advance your career at KBR, Inc..
