Video 3 | Full LIFE Study Overview This short video showcases some key highlights of our recent LIFE study, which evaluated the safety and effectiveness of the Injectrode for minimally invasive nerve stimulation. The video features: 1. Placement sites immediately after the procedure on day 0 2. Fluoroscopy (AP) showing bilateral Injectrode placement 3. Fluoroscopy (lateral) confirming no signs of lead migration from the target site on day 25 4. The clinician palpating the Injectrode through skin, demonstrating its flexibility and ability to conform to anatomy 5. Placement site appearance on day 25 6. Successful transcutaneous stimulation visualized via ultrasound For a comprehensive overview of the LIFE study, check out the full press release linked in the comments. #Injectrode #PainManagement #MedicalDevice #Neuromodulation

We successfully performed two ventral laparoscopic rectopexies following recurrent rectal prolapse with obstructed defecation syndrome, previously treated with STARR many years ago. Preoperatively we conducted transanal ultrasound, anorectal manometry and colpocystodefecography. In both cases, findings indicated mild sphincter hypotonia with normal rectal sensitivity. Is Rectopexy good option in these cases for you ?#RectalProlapse #Rectopexy #STARR #MedicalAdvancements"

Tenoperiosteal separation refers to the detachment or disruption at the junction where the rectus abdominis/adductor longus common aponeurosis attaches to the pubic bone. We will find a hypoechoic interface between the tendon and bone, usually associated with some degree of bone Irregularity at the attachment site, due to the pulling away of the aponeurosis. For me, MRI (pubalgia protocol) is the diagnostic method of choice, but ultrasound it’s pretty good too and we must be aware of the spectrum of findings. Usually, the injury starts at the adductor component. Also, try to identify if there is or there is no involvement of the midline. #mskrad

39 years old female present with left flank pain. Ultrasound findings. There are multiple dilated and tortious vessels at mid and lower pole left kidney, with single greatly dilated draining vein. there is visible adjacent soft tissue bruit and vibration on live gray scale imaging. There is significant color mixing and aliasing on color doppler study. on the spectral analysis, one of the feeding artery has mixed low resistance flow and the enlarged vein has arterialized flow pattern. Conclusion; findings are suggestive of Renal AVF (Renal Arterio-venous Fistula). Note; CT Angiography of the Abdomen was recommended.

In a study comparing three ultrasound transducers for diagnosing pneumothorax, researchers found no difference in diagnostic performance among the transducers. The sensitivity, specificity, PPV, and NPV were all between 96.4% and 98.8%. The linear-array transducer had the best image quality and fastest diagnosis. #ultrasound #pneumothorax #diagnosis Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gtbgWJAg

Why is Laparoscopic Aspiration Recommended? If the suspected cyst has an unusual appearance on ultrasound, it is aspirated to verify that it is benign. Cyst aspiration may also be performed for simple cysts that are bothersome because they are palpable, painful, or large.

Hi ultrasound lovers, This was seen on a lower limb ultrasound (?Dvt). Patient was from the burns unit Hint: the more I scanned , the region of interest appeared much bigger than estimated, running deep. The below heterogenous area was seen more predominant in the gastroc muscle with some mild vascularity What could it be ? A.Hematoma B.DVT of the gastroc veins C.Soft tissue sarcoma D.Muscle tear E.Raptured Bakers cyst
