It really highlights how important neuroplasticity is, especially when it comes to language learning. The fact that learning a second language can strengthen brain connections and potentially improve cognitive function is amazing. It would be interesting to see further research on this, perhaps exploring the impact of multilingualism or the effects of learning a third or fourth language later in life...

Language can be more than linguistic itself from my own experience, it’s about exploring different way of thinking including definitions for example time, each culture has their own unique mindset. We are over trilingual learners and different languages make our expressions much more meaningful and interesting ^^

I am so glad my parents insisted we were fully bilingual. At home we could only speak Spanish. They bought books and newspapers in Spanish so we wouldn’t forget it and could grow our vocabulary. We used English in school and with our friends. Later I studied French and Portuguese. I shock people when they realize I speak perfect Spanish and English. 😂 Thanks to Mami and Papi.

Research suggests that bilingual brains exhibit increased connectivity between different brain regions, particularly in areas responsible for attention, executive function, and memory. This enhanced connectivity can lead to improved cognitive flexibility, problem-solving skills, and multitasking abilities.
