#NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek is an important opportunity to transform perceptions and recognise strengths, but it cannot just be a token gesture. We need to make sure we're celebrating neurodiversity all the time and understanding the diverse capabilities and skill sets neurodivergent people can bring to the workplace. On Friday I attended a course on Neurodiversity in the Workplace with the insightful and engaging 💯Hayley Brackley. It was an interactive workshop which allowed for some really interesting conversations on how and what other workplaces are doing to raise awareness, educate and create a more inclusive workplace. I have come away with a greater knowledge and understanding along with some tangible tools to put into practise. Over the last few years, the term 'Neurodiversity' has become increasingly common, and the diagnosis rates for neurodivergent conditions have risen dramatically. Neurodiversity can significantly impact business performance, but it has also led to a rise in neurodiversity-related employment tribunals, highlighting the need for businesses to understand and embrace neurodiversity from a legal, moral, and productivity perspective. I feel that the image below portrays this in a very relatable manner for all to understand. #neurodiversity #neurodivergent #Equalityintheworkplace #PentlandHR

We are Human not Resource. We need to shift our thinking when it comes to how we view human beings in the workplace. We are not resources, we are humans. When we are treated as mere resources, productivity suffers, unemployment rises, and inequality deepens. Human resource theory can be detrimental to both economic prosperity and human development. We need to prioritize human rights and treat each other with dignity and respect. Let's make a fundamental conceptual change and recognize the value of each human being in the workplace. #HumanRights #WorkplaceEquality
