That’s it. It’s really not that complicated of a decision. Something like 60% of applicants don’t get into any school at all. And a big chunk of the other 40% is only invited to attend one school. If you only get into one school, go to that school. Don’t take a year off and apply again. You should make your first application your best application by studying as hard as you can for the MCAT or DAT, applying broadly to dozens of schools including “safety schools”, and doing your very best when writing essays and doing interviews. If you did that and only got into one US medical or dental school, go to it. However, for those of you who are talented, intelligent, and or lucky enough to have a choice between schools, the right choice is almost always going to be the one that costs you the least. Now you have to take everything into account. Tuition reductions or scholarships should be subtracted from the total. You’ll need to include a figure for the cost of living. Maybe there is something unique about one school over another such as you would be able to live for free in your parent’s basement at the local one. Whatever. Include it all. Then go to the cheapest one. #physician #medicalschool #medstudent #medicalstudent #medschool #costofattendance #studentloans #personalfinance #wci

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩: 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙧 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚?📚💼 I think this question is very controversial because higher education (a degree) can get you some ultimate jobs, such as a Lawyer, Teacher or Vet🐶 however experience can also get you some great jobs such as Recruitment, Paramedics or even a Pilot👩✈️ Education does provide a foundation for a greater likelihood of success and higher pay but in today’s world, experience can be just as valuable when employers look for employees. Here at EdEx - Education Recruitment, we normally look for a graduate who has experience with working in a school or school-like setting🏫. This allows us to be confident that our candidate will be able to handle the pressures that come with a Teacher or Teaching Assistant role, as well as have a good educational background👩🎓. I think when it come to education or experience, it is equal. As long as you have the passion for that job and can prove it through experience or years of education, you can achieve anything💫. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠? 🤔

As a personal tutor to year 1 medical students I saw the challenges faced as they went from 6th form to university. It would be beneficial for current medical schools to ask questions that are real and gritty, reflective of the challenges students will face: 📛 Given the increased use of remote learning how will you ensure you still develop those interpersonal skills? 📛 How will you meet the challenges of a course where there is more independent learning and required insight into your own limitations? 📛 University life can be daunting, away from family and friends, increased workload, financial demands of rent and paying fees. How will you manage these if we were to offer you a place? #medicalschoolinterview #mbbsadmission #ucat

Aspiring medical doctor turned phenomenal teacher|Creating online content tailored for teachers|Lead Tutor at Handwriting Clinic Nigeria| Class Teacher at Brainy Hive Schools.
𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 As an aspiring medical student, my aspirations once revolved around a career in medicine. However, life took an unexpected turn, leading me up a different path - the noble profession of teaching. It's safe to say that teaching wasn't my initial plan, and I admit, I held certain reservations about it. I questioned whether it could provide the life I had envisioned for myself. I often found myself exploring various avenues to channel my passion for imparting knowledge without stepping into the traditional classroom setting. I wanted to make a difference in people's lives, but I had reservations about teaching children in a school. One of the barriers I faced was the misconception that teachers were confined to the four walls of a classroom, unable to pursue more significant endeavors. It seemed like a limiting belief, one that I couldn't easily shake off. Fast forward to 2023, and here I stand, a teacher, a partner in parenting, and a 21st-century educator. I've embraced this role wholeheartedly, and it has brought me unparalleled joy. Allow me to reintroduce myself with pride: I am Teacher Racheal, committed to equipping children aged 7-12 with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate the challenges of an ever-evolving future. #tchrrachealtheinfluencer #handwritinglessonsforadults #handwritinglessonsforchildren #beautifulandlegiblehandwriting #handwritingtransformation #uncommonteacher #21stcenturyeducator #cursivehandwritingtutor #printhandwritingtutor #thecoveredqueen
