🍂 Fall is here, and so are the changing road conditions! 🌧️ Are you ready to handle fog, rain, and early snow? Here are some fall driving tips for you to stay safe on the road: 1. Check Your Lights: Shorter days mean more driving in the dark. Make sure your headlights, taillights, and brake lights are working properly for better visibility. 2. Monitor Tire Pressure: Cold weather causes tire pressure to drop. Ensure your tires are properly inflated for optimal traction on wet and slick roads. 3. Adjust for Fog: Reduce speed in foggy conditions, keep headlights on low beam, and use your fog lights if necessary. Increase your following distance to give yourself more reaction time. 4. Watch for Fallen Leaves: Wet leaves can be as slippery as ice! Slow down in areas where leaves have accumulated, especially on curves and in parking lots. 5. Prepare for Early Snow: Have your winter emergency kit ready and inspect your wiper blades to handle the first signs of snow or sleet. Stay safe, truckers, and embrace the season with confidence! 🍁 #FallDriving #TruckSafety #DOTCompliance #WeatherReady

Winter driving can be challenging, especially when foggy windows sneak up on you. Whether it's rain, snow, or just humidity, a foggy windshield can quickly become a safety hazard if not addressed properly. Teach your teen how to clear a foggy windshield so they can manage this situation on the road. Here's what you and your teen need to know: 🟧 Use the front defroster button to direct airflow to the windshield. It's the quickest way to start clearing fog. 🟧 Adjust the fan to high and set the temperature based on the weather—warmer for winter, cooler for summer - but don't forget to turn on the AC button to remove humidity from the air. Yes, even in winter! 🟧 Familiarize yourself with the rear defroster button for clearing the back window. These small but essential steps will help your teen prepare for sudden weather changes.

As we head into the winter season, it's crucial to stay alert and drive safely on slippery roads. Whether it’s rain, mud, or frost, adjusting your speed and taking extra precautions can make a big difference in avoiding accidents. Here are some essential tips to keep you safe: 🌧️ Wet Roads: Reduce your speed by 5-10 mph. ❄️ Packed Snow: Cut your speed in half. 🧊 Icy Conditions: Drive at 5 mph or slower. Watch Out for These Slippery Spots: 🌲 Shaded areas under trees and buildings can hide icy patches—these freeze first and thaw last. 🌉 Bridges and overpasses freeze quicker than regular roads, so slow down when approaching them. ☔ When it first starts to rain, the roads can be especially slippery from oil buildup—slow down right away! 💡 What You Can Do: ✔️ Turn on your windshield wipers, low-beam headlights, and defroster. ✔️ In heavy rain or snow, if you can't see more than 100 feet ahead, keep your speed under 30 mph. ✔️ For snowy areas, keep the right type of snow chains in your car for extra traction. Let’s keep the roads safe for everyone—drive cautiously and be prepared for sudden changes in weather! 📲 Have questions about a recent accident? REAL cold weather tips from Wyoming. Leave a faucet running to prevent pipes from bursting/freezing. If it’s below +5 we run the water 24/7. If you’re stuck, or warming up your vehicle, keep the tail pipe clear of snow. Buy a stick-on oil pan heater for your vehicle. They are ~$50 on Amazon and are super simple to install. Buy outdoor spigot heaters (around $20 on Amazon). Buy heated water bowls for your outdoor pets. Don’t listen to people that tell you not to worry about warming up your vehicle. Not only should the engine warm up, but you need the engine heat to warm up your transmission as well. Don’t drive until you’re getting heat through the vents. It’s better to idle a vehicle then to turn it off and on. Give your favorite freight broker some loads
