Linda Roszak Burton from the Wharton Health Care Management Alumni Association stated in her article that, cultivating a grateful mindset allows people to readily shift from our built-in negativity bias to examining what's going well in your life, what values reinforce your decisions, and which strengths allow you to be at your best as consistently as possible." She also states this self-regulation of recognizing unhealthy emotions and reframing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors will deepen your emotional intelligence capacity. And with greater emotional intelligence awareness, you have a choice in how you interact with and join in the experiences of others.

My 2 Cents... It's that time of year to be reflective, count your blessings, and be thankful for what you have, what you've done, and what's to come. I'm reading a lot of articles on gratitude integrated with emotional intelligence and leadership and notice that a lot of these articles are not from the healthcare industry. Surprise, Surprise!!! Per the article attached, gratitude is thought to be crucial to employees’ efficiency, success, and productivity while also improving organizational citizenship behaviors, prosocial organizational behavior, and the organizational climate. Are we talking enough about the power of gratitude in Nursing? https://lnkd.in/edJ4eCAG
