5 Reasons 78704 (the oh four) has become one of Austin’s trendiest zip codes… 1. It’s outdoor recreation: Miles of hiking trails, paths for running and biking, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake, and swimming in Barton Springs and Big Stacy Pool. 2. Live Music: Austin is known for its live music scene and festivals. You’ll find plenty of live music events to enjoy in this area. My favorite is the Austin City Limits Music Festival at Zilker Park. 3. SoCo District: This area is known for being one of Austin's most popular destinations because of its shopping, restaurants, bars, and live music. 4. Foodie Heaven: Austin’s culinary scene is diverse and delicious. From food trucks serving mouthwatering tacos to upscale restaurants offering global cuisines, you’ll never run out of dining options around here. 5. Proximity: Living in 78704 means you’re only a short drive to downtown, UT Austin, and ABIA airport. Considering making a move, let me know how I can help. #austinrealestate #residentialrealestate #amyklinerealtor

An interesting article on crowd safety measures at Glastonbury 2024. A surface level reading seems to indicate strong processes to keep people safe. As the article states, and having experienced it myself, a diverse range of acts on smaller tents and the number of people they can attract is part of the magic of the festival. Part of the art for crowd safety is to enable the magic to be created whilst keeping people safe. It’s never going to be popular triggering safety measures but when done properly, should be applauded. https://lnkd.in/ghV8PZDt

How to turn a farm into the world's greatest music festival? Of course, it demands a huge amount of money, people and efforts. But the return is absolutely worthy, for the producers, the sponsors and specially for those who build this event or get the ticket to enjoy it. From the perspective of a music lover, I personally think that a festival is a celebration of life for many reasons, starting from the intense emotions and the life-changing experience that it can be. But also because a festival is also a great opportunity for people who: - Build the infrastructure. - Prepare the food and deliver the drinks. - Provide security for musicians, technicians and festival goers. - Offer transportation and accomodation, among other services. This video shows how the Glastonbury festival ("Glasto") is built in 26 days, and also part of its history, from the first edition in 1970 as the "Pop Folk & Blues" festival with nearly 1000 attendants, until today, with over 400 workers and 210.000 attendants. I have not attended many festivals, but I do follow them and dream with enjoying some ones with my kids. No matter the weather us Brits enjoy a festival. Whether that be a food festival, music festival or Christmas festival, there will always be food sellers and catering businesses present. Exclusive Refrigerated Trailers have a range of dry storage, refrigerated and freezer trailers that are designed specifically to support small businesses that sell their goods at festivals. If you’re looking to hire refrigerated trailers for food festivals, we can help. Our mobile refrigerated trailers are perfect to safely store and transport all types of food and perishable products. So they’re ideal for caterers attending food festivals or events. Exclusive Refrigerated Trailers range of cold storage trailers give our clients the flexibility to scale up (or down) their refrigerated / storage needs. We offer flexible hire so whether you are looking for short term refrigeration hire due to increased business, or have had an emergency and you need refrigeration cover, we can help. They are all incredibly easy to use and only require a standard 240V electrical supply or a generator (at least 4Kva) to power them. Every trailer has an internal light, is fully lockable and we provide up to 12 metres of power cable for your convenience. And we can provide shelving options if needed. #RefrigeratedTrailerHire #EmergencyFreezerBreakdownCover #ColdStorage #DryStorage #MobileRefrigerationUnits #FoodFestivals

I recently have posted that many fireworks events and festivals are being canceled due to lack of budget. Although it is not a decisive solution, some local governments are taking a countermeasure. That is, charging for seats at fireworks events and festivals. Sometimes the paid seats are quite expensive. It has also been reported that the sales of these expensive special seats have been good. There are opposing opinions that events hosted by public organizations such as municipalities and local shoppers associations should not be charged, because such events should be open to the public. In my opinion, I do not think that such events should be held at such a high cost. We understand that each local government has an obligation to revitalize the region. As a means to achieve this, they tend to think that holding an event that can attract a lot of people at once is an easy way to do so. However, even if it can attract people temporarily, it is unlikely to lead to a permanent increase in the number of people, let alone contribute to the increase in the population of the region. I have to say that there is little point in forcing an event that is so expensive to hold. Even if it contributes to raising awareness of the area a little, it does not directly lead to an increase in foot traffic throughout the year. I think it is recommended to take the time to work on regional promotion projects, rather than just seeking the momentary glamour of things like fireworks festivals. #fireworksjapan #hanabijapan #cancelevents #summerfestjapan #regionpromotion #eventsjapan #festivaljapan

It’s true and a big misconception among Seattleites - cultural/community festivals cost $$$, months of planning and require longterm funding (sponsorships) are down nearly 60% since the pandemic. Northwest Marketplaces has yet to bring back the Seattle Street Food Festival which was considered the largest street food festival in the west coast back in 2028 and ceased operations in 2020 and hosted in South Lake Uniondue to over 100,000+ attendees that helps promote the neighborhood and contributes to the economic well being of the neighboring small businesses. Since the pandemic, there has been nearly a 40% increase in operational costs from waste management, security, permits, promotion and event rentals. While we don’t speak on behalf of the CIDBIA, we spent nearly four years working to co-produce their annual celebrations and believe that it’s a tradition that is dearly missed and essential to the cultural and economic vibrancy within the Chinatown community. Its more than just about the organizers; it’s how we connect and share the history of our city’s past, present and future. https://lnkd.in/gC4fTT-4

"Let's revolutionize the hospitality industry! Every hotel has a recreation room for staff, but what about our guests? While we provide amenities like gyms, swimming pools, and libraries, we often fail to encourage guests to use them. Let's change that! Imagine offering indoor games and activities that bring staff and guests together. We can create a sense of community and make our guests feel at home. For corporate guests, we can provide relaxing activities to help them unwind. Cooking classes with our F&B production staff can be a great way to engage guests and create a memorable experience. But that's not all! Let's also add some musical activities to the mix. We can provide musical instruments for guests to use, and even offer points for participating in musical activities. These points can be redeemed on their next visit, unlocking discounts in our F&B outlets or room upgrades. - Jam sessions with our in-house musicians - Karaoke nights with a twist (guests can sing with our staff band) - Music workshops (guests can learn to play an instrument with our staff instructors) And why not have a play zone in every hotel? Families can leave their children there while they enjoy some me-time, and we can bring back the joy of childhood for our younger guests. Let's make our hotels the best place to work and the best place to stay! By prioritizing guest experience and staff engagement, we can create a win-win situation for everyone. Share your thoughts and let's innovate together!"
