Anshul Kamath and Rohan Arora shared the untold story of their startup Evolve with Backstage with Millionaires in a podcast in collaboration with #StartupSpotlights, an initiative by #GooglePlay. Since its inception in 2017, Evolve has helped over 1 million people across the world, in the uplifting and well-being of their mental health. When Anshul and Rohan initially started Evolve in 2017, it was a mental health app for everyone. However, in 2021, the team pivoted towards an LGBTQ+ first app after seeing some early signs of traction. The reason according to the founders is that “the LGBTQ+ community is one of the fastest growing user segments globally and research shows that members of the community are almost 4 times as likely to experience serious mental illness compared to the general population”. Evolve’s core team comprises people from diverse gender identities and sexual orientations and this helps them understand first-hand the struggles and challenges of the LGBTQ+ community when it comes to mental health and wellness. What makes Evolve different from the other mental health apps in the market is its focus on community building. So while other apps focus primarily on virtual content, Evolve has a thriving community where users can discuss and share their experiences to normalise stressors. #mentalhealth #StartupSpotlights #GooglePlay [This video is sponsored by Google Play.] Google Play business community

“Do NOTHING.” That was my pop’s response after learning that my journey as a social media manager has come to an end. Everything in life is a moment, what you do with those moments can produce a season. In my short season, I’ve planted seeds of joy, emphasizing the need for education and awareness of disparities faced by trans communities and establishing new strategies for communication that uplift BIPOC voices and remind us that, despite the hate and systems that attempt to silence us, we are unstoppable. In the last 420+ days, I’ve been able to successfully: - Develop practices centering BIPOC storytelling and DEIB through digital communications - Increase engagement by more than 29% with over 76.5B reached - Build relationships with sister organizations and community leaders, working with key stakeholders to establish new programming for LGBTQ+ influencers and internal staff - Lead social campaigns and discussions that inspire policy change and improved resources for trans, non-binary, and staff of color We often discuss the excellence of work in advocacy without mentioning the mental anguish that is felt by those involved, especially for queer professionals. Black LGBTQ+ advocacy workers carry a special strength - fighting tirelessly for our rights, visibility, and the dismantling of systems that perpetuate discrimination against us. The burden of addressing these issues and educating others often falls on us, and it can be emotionally draining. I’m now #OpentoWork but most importantly, I’m Open to Joy and Rest! 💙 #diversityandinclusion #advocacy #mentalhealthmatters

I provide LGBTQ+ inclusive content writing and strategy services to reach more people in your target audience.
Loss is a part of changing your content strategy. I don’t mean losing money (ideally, you’ll do the opposite). I’m talking about your audience. As your business evolves, you won’t always serve the same people. You’ll add new services, attract new leads, and scale up. You’ll start seeing new problems you can solve, so you’ll adapt your offers to do that. A lot of people from your early audience will follow you here, but others…well, you might not wanna hear it, but they might not need you anymore! It’s nothing personal, and it’s not a rejection. It’s a different direction that shows you’ve grown into a new space. It’s about serving people who align with your vision for your business. That’s why you should reevaluate your content strategy at least once a year. Make sure it changes with your business and pushes it to evolve even further. You might lose a few people from your early audience, sure. But don’t let that hold you back—most of them will still be happy to see you grow. If your healthcare business needs someone to put together a content strategy that pushes it forward (or make changes to an existing one), let’s talk! I create LGBTQ+ inclusive content strategies for health and wellness businesses, and I’d love to help you with yours. #ContentStrategy #BusinessStrategy #HealthcareContentStrategy #InclusiveContentStrategy #AudienceResearch

We are excited to announce ‘Beyond Boundaries’ an exciting new series of creative workshops that will be held later this year. The project, for young individuals (aged 18-35), focusses on the exploration of queer stories as told by the Bundaberg LGBTQIA+ community. The workshops are designed to empower participants to reclaim their narrative and embrace their identity through storytelling. The project offers a safe space for self-expression and creativity to push the boundaries of storytelling. Inspired by the popular webcomic "Heartstopper," participants will have the opportunity to work with different media to tell their story. Collaborating with community stakeholders, organisers identified the need to provide a safe space for 18-35 year olds in Bundaberg, addressing mental health concerns within the LGBTQIA+ community. Our workshop organiser, Brianna Laskai says Beyond Boundaries seeks to reduce stigma, provide creative outlets, and foster a supportive environment for storytellers and audience members. “By engaging in community discussion, we hope to create positive social change, driven by the empowerment of the younger queer generation" Wide Bay Kids Community Inc has received a grant from The Social Shift, funded by the Department of Social Services Local Services Plans - Community-Led Support Fund to facilitate Beyond Boundaries. We hope it will contribute to strengthening connection and support within the queer community of Bundaberg by providing an accepting space for queer people to collaborate. Workshops will be held in June, concluding with a public exhibition to celebrate pride month. If you’re interested in supporting or participating in this project please contact Wide Bay Kids. #beyondboundaries #communitydevelopment #queercommunity #community #bundaberg #LGBTQIA+ #welcometobundaberg #belongingmatters

In the LGBTQ+ community, family can mean so much more than the traditional definitions. Whether it’s the bond of chosen families, the joy of LGBTQ+ parenting, or the unwavering support from allies, every family story deserves to be celebrated and shared. 👨👨👧👦 Chosen Families: Often, our most profound connections come from those we choose to call family. These are the friends and loved ones who stand by us through thick and thin. Chosen families provide the support and acceptance that we may not always find in our biological families. 👩👩👦👦 LGBTQ+ Parents: Raising children as LGBTQ+ parents comes with unique challenges and immense rewards. From navigating legal hurdles to fostering a loving and inclusive home, your stories of parenthood inspire and educate. 📚 Resources for Queer Families: Building a strong family foundation involves having access to the right resources. Check out our link in bio for an extensive list of support networks, legal aid, parenting advice, and community groups. Knowledge is power, and we’re here to ensure you have everything you need to thrive. ✨ Your Story Matters: At Bloom Therapy QC, we believe in the power of shared stories to uplift and connect us. We want to hear from you—what are your go-to resources, and what advice do you have for new LGBTQ+ parents? How has your chosen family shaped your journey? Tag us and use #BloomWithPride to share your family’s story. Let’s celebrate the strength, resilience, and love that define our community. Join the conversation using #BloomWithPride and help us shine a light on the incredible diversity of LGBTQ+ families. Together, we can create a world where every family feels seen, valued, and supported. 💖 #LGBTQFamilyMatters #Pride #PrideMonth #IowaPride #ChosenFamily #LGBTQParents #SupportiveAllies #QueerFamilies #FamilyDiversity #LGBTQCommunity #QuadCities #LGBTQTherapist #TherapistsOfLinkedIn
