The Crossroads League has five of the top 13 teams ranked nationally for offensive efficiency in NAIA Men's Basketball. (Of a total of 231 teams) The top 5 Crossroad League teams include: Huntington University, Grace College & Seminary, University of Saint Francis, Marian University Indianapolis, and Indiana Wesleyan University Comparing the top 5 Crossroads League teams with national NAIA team averages: all teams had similar number of possessions (83), free throw rate (13%/12%) and number of three point field goals per game (8/7.4). The major differences included: Points per game, Points per Possession, EFG%, 2 point fg's made, % of possessions scored, and turnover %. (DATA SOURCED FROM SYNERGY SPORTS 2024)

He expected commitment to a winning mentality from everyone involved—be it players, staff, board members, fans, sponsors, or support personnel. This ethos promotes a positive, forward-thinking environment that propels everyone toward an ultimate collective goal of supreme success. Yet, this drive contrasts starkly with instances in recent days at Spurs where fans preferred their team to lose to prevent a rival, like Arsenal, from winning the title. Choosing this over maintaining hopes for a Champions League spot not only undermines a winning culture but also highlights a deeper systemic issue at Spurs. A genuine passion for football should encourage striving for victory in every match, elevating the club's ambitions rather than compromising them. Ange’s reaction is very typical and understandable. My main personality trait is that I like football.

A lot has been said regarding tonight's NFL game in Brazil and it's a bit sad to see the senseless coverage from some of the media that's focused on the negatives (crime rate, gang colors, etc). Let's be clear. The NFL is not going to put players, coaches and organizations in harms way. Green is one of the national colors in Brazil so reporting on the usage of green wardrobe just exudes ignorance. However, I'm amazed not many are talking about the master stroke from the NFL regarding the selection of Brazil. From a business point of view it's genius as Brazil is one the biggest (and still growing) sports betting markets in Latin America, to not say the biggest one. From a cultural perspective, hosting an American football game in one of the meccas of soccer is brilliant. The NFL really wants to go toe to toe with WC/UCL revenue and engagement numbers and they are doing the right moves.

So, its March Madness. Admittedly, I am not a fan of Basketball, but follow along during March Madness because I love competition, and love to see stories of small programs breaking through to take down the big guys. With the NIL now becoming a major part of recruiting, how do small schools, without the income generated by big time football, compete? How do schools like St. Peter's or Gonzaga attract talent without access to those deep pockets? Look at the top NIL Collectives, then look at the $ generated by Football attendance versus Basketball attendance. Have we seen the impending end of the Cinderella story?
