262 Fifth Avenue the ultra-thin, supertall tops out and facade installation progresses ✔️ Designed by Meganom, 262 Fifth Avenue is a 56-story residential skyscraper in Nomad, Manhattan. The 860ft tall tower from developer Five Points Development has come under controversy as it will yield just 26 condominium units and blocks views of the Empire State Building from most vantage points south of 28th Street. Completion is due in 2025. Image credit: Michael Young @mchlanglo793
262 Fifth Avenue is an ideal application for #Hyprlift elevators. Hyprlift allows for a much narrower building core thereby freeing up valuable interior space for residences. And it’s never too late as Hyprlift retrofits to existing elevator shafts.
It is ideal to use my innovation which is time-sharing dual cars multi functional lift. A shaft is for a passenger lift during peak time, and a service lift during off-peak peak time.
That's the problem on slim, super-tall buildings, if you up the occupancy you dramatically increase core space needed for elevators making it unworkable - so 26 condo's with a few folk in each max' is the limit. Only a Mike Godwin Vertrak-like solution can solve that riddle and free up floor area for increased occupancy yet provide great elevator service!
Excited to see how this project continues to shape Manhattan's skyline.
What is the price tag on each apartment?
That will rock worse than a ship at sea!
