Is interested to see how some parents are already pivoting their tutoring focus to grammar school entrance. We are seeing an uptick in demand for London grammar school. What's the problem? Well, depending on your persuasion, the lack of grammar schools in London! There are around 160 such schools in the UK and these are in high demand already. We have one such grammar school where around 10% get in. The long-term direction of the selective state schools will be interesting to watch - since we may see a hollowing out of the middle, with ultra high net worth (UHNW) families stumping up higher and higher private school fees, while your bank manager and GP's daughter gets priced out. Why should people who aren't in this sector care? Well, depending on who you believe, the changes may lead to increased state school class sizes. However, they may also lead to parity between spending per pupil in the state and independent sectors (something we haven't seen since 2010, IIRC). As ever, tutors and their agencies will face increased challenges from such policies, in addition to technology pressures separating the wheat from the chaff in the sector. We can expect to see a continued demand for services like Atom Learning, as parents look to cut costs in tutoring for school entrance, along with CGP and other quality provenders of resources. I am interested to hear from tutors with the following school entrance knowhow: The Henrietta Barnett School, Latymer Upper School, Queen Elizabeth's School, Barnet, St. Michaels Catholic Grammar School, and more. #tutor #tutors #tutoring #schoolentrance #tuition #school #schools #schoolentrance #elevenplus #grammarschools #schoolentry #education #ukeducation #selectiveeducation #privateschools #politics

The main benefit of preschool is that children gain a solid foundation before beginning their academic career. They are able to socialize with peers and build friendships. They learn basic academic building blocks such as letter names and sounds, numbers, how to hold a book, and sight words. Children learn to be more independent and how to solve problems independently. #SriramInstitute #education #admission2024_25 #counselling #teacher #studentlife

Parents often ask me how to get into their local Grammar school. Grammar schools are selective state-funded schools that admit students based on academic ability. Getting your child into one can be competitive, but here are some tips: 1 Prepare early. Grammar schools test students in Year 6 (age 10/11) through exams like the 11+. Ensure your child is working at the right level. 2 Appeal if needed. Passing the exam doesn't guarantee admission. If your child missed the grade or lives far from the school, consider appealing the decision. 3 Understand admissions criteria. Some schools select by test score, others use proximity. Know what matters most. 4 Apply for financial assistance. Some schools now give preference to qualifying Pupil Premium students. See if your child is eligible. The competition is fierce. But targeted prep, an appeal, and understanding the admissions process, will boost your child's chances. Let me know if you have any other questions! #GrammarSchools #Appeals #Admissions #11Plus
