I try to make most of my LinkedIn stuff applicable to anybody involved with support in construction, regardless of whether you might be classified as a “candidate”, “client” or even a “competitor”. But this post is specifically aimed towards hiring managers. And the message is really, quite straight forward…………ignore other recruiters, use me!! Why? My entire working life revolves around championing and supporting people in Support & Back-Office roles within construction. That is literally all I do. I’m not expected to deviate into other areas and work on other roles – I am totally dedicated to Document Controllers / Information Managers, Office Managers, PA/EAs, Receptionists, HR, all forms of Administrators and Finance Assistants – all of those vital people that carry out essential functions to effectively keep your business or department ticking over, meaning you not having to worry. It’s not about just making a sale for me, it really isn’t. It’s about getting the right person for the right job and to make sure I do this; I’ve spent time on site working alongside the people I’ve placed into positions to gain a better understanding of exactly what it takes to fulfil these positions. In short, I am an expert in the field, not a generic sales chump with a fancy suit and a haircut.
