With two jurisdictions on this island, there are two policy landscapes to understand (and not least how the all-island policy environment supervenes on them). This is of course massively complicated, but it’s also an opportunity to make double the impact! At InterTradeIreland we’re all about identifying and accelerating the delivery of shared policy priorities. If you want to make a real difference, build a thriving all-island economic ecosystem, and influence key policy areas including innovation and sustainability, this is an amazing opportunity.

The job market has its ups and downs, and no matter how good of an employee you are, you could find yourself out of work overnight. This is an intensely stressful issue to deal with, especially if you have debt and other expenses exceeding your available cash and savings. I try to make most of my LinkedIn stuff applicable to anybody involved with support in construction, regardless of whether you might be classified as a “candidate”, “client” or even a “competitor”. But this post is specifically aimed towards hiring managers. And the message is really, quite straight forward…………ignore other recruiters, use me!! Why? My entire working life revolves around championing and supporting people in Support & Back-Office roles within construction. That is literally all I do. I’m not expected to deviate into other areas and work on other roles – I am totally dedicated to Document Controllers / Information Managers, Office Managers, PA/EAs, Receptionists, HR, all forms of Administrators and Finance Assistants – all of those vital people that carry out essential functions to effectively keep your business or department ticking over, meaning you not having to worry. It’s not about just making a sale for me, it really isn’t. It’s about getting the right person for the right job and to make sure I do this; I’ve spent time on site working alongside the people I’ve placed into positions to gain a better understanding of exactly what it takes to fulfil these positions. In short, I am an expert in the field, not a generic sales chump with a fancy suit and a haircut. But the proof is in the pudding I guess, so challenge me to fill your roles and I’ll show you what I’ve got.
