The first year we launched Edmunds Cocktails (in 2019), we sold about 1k cocktails over the Christmas holidays. It seemed mad at the time! In 2024? We sold over 190,000 cocktails at Christmas. 🤯 Now, we’re already planning for Christmas 2025. Here’s what we have in mind: (Yes, I know it’s just passed, but we need to start early!) For 2025, we’re thinking about: 1. An advent calendar What’s better than cocktails? Cocktails AND chocolate. We’d love to collaborate with a quality chocolate brand. It would be our full range of 12 cocktails paired with a variety of different chocolates. 2. Christmas crackers We had loads of people requesting this in 2024, but unfortunately, we couldn’t make it happen in time. This year, it’s on our to-do list. Picture this: a mini 100ml cocktail bottle inside a cracker that looks amazing on your Christmas table. Read the room and the writing on the wall. Super Bowl over shadows Valentine’s Day. So much so that gift giving becomes an afterthought in the minds of most. The second biggest holiday has becomes a marketing nightmare being so close to Super Bowl—when you have a physical product. And your product depends on shipping. Early marketing gets lost in post Christmas fatigue. Real time marketing can’t compete with sports. Vendor events can be risky as much as niche items. Even worse, there’s no time for shipping. Thanks Super Bowl. So what do we do? Lucky for Best Shower Soapery, we can use the moment to love on our members. We will eow them with special perks like receiving Cocoa Secrets Deep Dark Chocolate soap bars in their February boxes. Then we will use that excitement to boost interest in our Shower Lovers Club. We’re launching “Shower Lovers Know…” campaign to run between the big game and Valentine’s Day. With party season (work and home) upon us, it's worth remembering that there's lots of reasons people may not want an alcoholic drink. The infographic below from Race Equality Matters gives some helpful insights... Here's a few ideas to think about... - Be aware - don't assume everyone wants to drink alcohol - If someone doesn't want to drink alcohol, don't try to persuade them or mock them - they don't owe you an explanation - Offer celebrations and events that aren't based around drinking - Always offer non-alcoholic drinks at parties, events and gatherings What else has worked well in your organisation? #inclusive #healthandwellbeing #events
Everyone’s reasons for not drinking are personal to them, and they do not owe anyone an explanation as to why they have chosen not to drink. No one should feel pressured to reveal their reasons. Please keep this in mind as you celebrate over the festive period!
