World Fisheries Day (21 November) 🌊🐟 Aquaculture: A Profitable Business for Farmers Profitable Opportunity for Farmers : Aquaculture is increasingly being seen as a lucrative business for farmers, offering a significant source of income. A Sunrise Industry : The fisheries sector is now considered a sunrise industry in India, with tremendous potential for sustainable and inclusive growth. India’s Role in Global Fisheries : India contributes 8% to the global fish production. India ranks as the 3rd largest fish producer globally. The 2nd largest producer of farmed fish. The largest producer of shrimp. The 4th largest exporter of seafood. The fisheries sector has created employment opportunities for over 30 million fishermen and aquaculture farmers in the country. This sector continues to support livelihoods across rural and coastal India. Growth of Aquaculture : The sector is rapidly expanding with businesses like biofloc fish farming, crab farming, shrimp farming, pearl farming, and spirulina cultivation. Challenges in Biofloc Farming : Despite its potential, many biofloc fish farming projects have faced setbacks. Insights from Maharashtra's Fisheries Department suggest that several projects have been shut down due to management challenges. Effective management is crucial for the success of any agri-business, including aquaculture. Without proper planning and monitoring, even the most promising ventures can fail. On this World Fisheries Day, let's acknowledge the role of aquaculture in India’s economy and the need for better management practices to unlock its full potential. Wishing all fishermen and farmers a Happy World Fisheries Day! 🌍🎉 - Datta Lawande (21/11/2024) #WorldFisheriesDay #Aquaculture #Fisheries #SustainableFishing #BioflocFarming #India #Farmers #Agriculture #FisheriesIndustry

Pisciculture, also known as fish farming, is the practice of breeding and raising fish in controlled environments such as tanks, ponds, or reservoirs. This method is used to produce fish for food, sport, or ornamental purposes. Pisciculture is a crucial component of aquaculture, which involves the cultivation of aquatic organisms. Key aspects of pisciculture include: 1. Types of Fish: Common species farmed include freshwater fish like tilapia, catfish, and carp, as well as saltwater species like salmon and shrimp. 2. Facilities: Fish farming can take place in ponds, tanks, or more advanced systems such as recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), which filter and reuse water. 3. Feeding: Fish are provided with specialized feed, designed to meet their nutritional requirements. 4. Water Quality Management: Regular monitoring of water parameters (temperature, pH, oxygen levels, etc.) is critical to ensure optimal growth conditions. 5. Harvesting: Fish are harvested once they reach market size, which varies depending on the species. Pisciculture helps to meet the global demand for seafood while reducing the pressure on wild fish stocks, though it requires careful management to prevent environmental issues such as water pollution and the spread of disease.

Indoor Ras Fish Farming Equipment Mud Crab Farming Box Crab box House saves much more land (if breeding 100 crabs calculating as 400 grams each on average, the ordinary pool for aquaculture covers about 300 square meter, while Crab House only covers net 0.9 square meter area, which improve the land utilization ratio of 300 times. For inland area and far away form the sea, it is also easy to cultivate seawater crab breeding. Crab House consumes less water, save energy and heating and cooling rapidly. Crab box House effectively evade most of the risk and uncertain factors (climate risk-indoor breeding, water quality risk-sterilized and purified recycling water, eliminate other biological causing pathogenic disease risk- single specie breeding in single box) during aquaculture. Crab box House use less manpower (one skilled worker can raise 2,000 to 5,000 crabs) to realize intensive full-year production of high density aquaculture. Crab box House can make more economic profits for reserving and breeding soft shell crabs. The same size and specie of soft shell crab with short aquaculture cycle (3 to 15 days usually) is 4 times more expensive than ordinary one. Crab box House advocates green, pollution-free and organic ecological aquaculture without chemical of catalytic and ripening in order to achieve environmental health and safety. Soft shell crabs aquaculture is a new hot business. Crab House will be the best choice for soft shell crabs aquaculture. #CrabBox #MubCrab #RASSystem #CarBoxFarming #CrabFarming
