The initiative "Maryam Ki Masihaai" aims to provide medical facilities to over 5,000 children each year. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the program and distributed ‘Child Surgery Cards’ to patients. If government hospitals are unable to accommodate surgeries, procedures will be conducted in private hospitals. Maryam Nawaz expressed her joy in launching the project, emphasizing that it is driven by a desire to ease the suffering of young patients. This will be Pakistan’s first such facility, providing treatment to children from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other provinces as well. #MaryamKiMasihaai #Punjab #CM #Iniative

Always good discussions in #semilive session and #BPO #management by #TURP and #MIST as well as #cure of #BPO by #enucleation . Currently, we have the privilege in #DACH to decide whether we want to manage or cure BPO. Globally, to my understanding, most probably will only be #cure as a therapy for patients with BPO in patients fit for surgery be reimbursed by solidary and tax funded healthcare systems. #AKBPH #AKEndourologie #DGU24 Deutsche Gesellschaft für Urologie #Leipzig

The Magic of Words ... "To Manage or Cure" BPH BPO is a mechanical problem that needs a mechanical solution (when warranted). Deobstruction would be a "treatment", a "therapy", or a potential "CURE!" For a patient in Stage 4 Acute Retention, we "MANAGE" the problem with a catheter. A catheter is a temporizing measure, not a therapy. Similarly, BPH drugs MANAGE symptoms. Chemicals temporize the situation to buy time to triage and to obtain bladder health baselines to deobstruct the right prostate at the right time within the Window of Curability. #stopnarcotizingbladders Luca Cindolo Deep thanks to Defender Prof. Dr. Thomas RW Herrmann for his valuable insights and leadership that fuel the fire of the MVP Crusade. ______ Let’s evolve BPH BPO care together… with our three MANdates: 1. Preserve Bladder Health 2. End the Polypharmacy Epidemic and 3. In the Service Industry, Compassion Should Come First A dear friend of mine recently faced a harrowing experience in a hospital. Admitted for severe spondylitis, her surgery was delayed due to last-minute payment issues. The relentless pressure from the billing staff led her to a panic attack, requiring oxygen. This incident raises crucial questions for the authorities and everyone in the service sector: 1. What is important? 2. What can be more important than serving a client/patient? 3. Are we prioritizing humanity over bureaucracy in critical situations? Let's strive to make our services not just efficient, but also empathetic and human-centered. ps..In this picture she is seen waiting for the surgery and coordinating with her parents in Bangalore, just before the panic attack. #ServiceWithHeart #CompassionFirst #BusinessBiinders #RespectAndCare

WORLD ANAESTHESIA DAY World Anaesthesia Day commemorates the birth of anaesthesia on 16 October 1846. Millions of children are anaesthetised each year. Some are fortunate enough to be looked after in dedicated paediatric centres, undergoing surgery and anaesthesia with fully trained specialists. At the other end of the spectrum there are places where children do not receive surgery because of a lack of trained anaesthetists or suitable equipment. Almost all anaesthetists, particularly those working in developing countries, expect to care for children regularly. This edition of Update in Anaesthesia contains a review of paediatric anaesthesia which we hope will prove practical. It discusses the differences between anaesthetising children and adults and details some of the techniques and equipment required There is also an article on caudal anaesthesia, a commonly used regional technique to reduce postoperative pain. #snsinstitution #snsdesignthinking #snsdesignthinkers
