We all have heard we are social animals. But why do people say that? Throughout history, humans have thrived on social connections. In ancient times, as hunter-gatherers, we relied on group cohesion for protection and survival against threats from the environment. While the dangers of wild animals may no longer be prevalent in modern society, the fundamental need for connection remains ingrained in our psyche. Despite the proliferation of social networking apps, many people feel a sense of disconnection and longing for genuine, heartfelt interactions. This void has inspired me to create a WhatsApp community dedicated to holistic health pursuits, including diet, exercise, and meditation. In this community, members can openly share their experiences, triumphs, and struggles, while offering support and encouragement to one another. If you're passionate about holistic health and seeking authentic connections, I invite you to join our community named "Holistic Health". Together, let's cultivate meaningful connections and foster personal growth. In the social media era we live in, it's important for nannies to know what are the best practices when it comes to posting on social media. Here are our top tips for social media usage as a Nanny: 1. Do not post any photos of your nanny kids unless you have permission from the family. 2. Discuss social media policies with the family and what their expectations are for you. Such as "Can I be on social media during breaks?" 3. Respect the nanny family you work with and do not share any personal information about the kids or family you work with online (or in person). 4. Do not "check-in" on social media when you are taking your nanny kids places. This protects you and the nanny kids with not sharing your exact location. 5. Keep your social media accounts private so what vou do in vour time is not visible by the familv or familv members. Experts say not to "friend" your employer unless you already had a previous relationship. But, that's up to you! Just remember, we all have digital footprints so anything can be found online. This is always good to remember in the digital era we live in. Alright, nannies, is there anything else you'd add to this list or suggest? We'd love to hear from you in the comments. ⬇️

𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻? 💬 Let’s be real; election seasons can leave us all a little frazzled - relief, hope, worry, and maybe even a “did that really just happen?” moment or two. So wherever you land today, give yourself permission to breathe, pause, and go easy on yourself. It’s a rollercoaster, and we’re all on it. 🎢 Some gentle (but 𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭) reminders for the days ahead: • 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗸𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 around political talk - yes, even at work and with that one family member. 😉 • 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 when it starts to feel like too much. • 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘄 - it’s a great way to stay grounded when the big stuff feels too overwhelming • 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 - friends, family, or professional resources who get it and get you. • 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 - there’s comfort in the familiar, especially now. • 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀: rest, move your body, enjoy some real food, and get outside for a bit. 🌿 I’m especially grateful for this community of people who don’t just connect professionally but show up with kindness and understanding. We’re all human, and sometimes it’s the simple reminders that help us stay grounded. 𝗦𝗼, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸? Drop your best self-care tips in the comments, or just say hi. Let’s keep this space as a little haven for support and calm. 🌱 #ProfessionalWellbeing #SelfCare #MentalHealth #CommunitySupport #PostElection #Boundaries #EmotionalWellbeing #TakeCare #SelfCompassion #EmpathyInAction

#TipTuesday 🌟 Keeping Aging Family Members Involved in Current Events and Growing Families It's important to help seniors feel connected and valued, especially as life around them evolves. Here are some simple ways to ensure they stay involved: 1️⃣ Share Stories & Photos Regularly update them with stories and pictures of the kids’ achievements, milestones, and funny moments. Family group video calls can also bring everyone closer! 2️⃣ Create Shared Activities Involve them in small, meaningful ways—helping to bake cookies for school events, crafting holiday cards, or gardening alongside the little ones. 3️⃣ Celebrate Together Make them part of birthdays, recitals, and sports games, even if virtually! A live-streamed recital or a quick call during events can brighten their day. 4️⃣ Engage with News Together Discuss current events, share articles, or watch news programs with them to keep them in the loop. 5️⃣ Use Technology Set up simple apps or devices to help them connect with family via social media or video calls. 💡 Small gestures can lead to big smiles and a sense of belonging. How do you keep your loved ones involved? Let us know in the comments! ⬇️ #FamilyFirst #SeniorsMatter #WholeLifeSeniorCare #StayConnected #TipTuesday

Don't be fooled, just because people aren't posting their content on social, it doesn't mean they aren't showing up and doing the work. I've fallen out of love with the constant pressure to share everything on social. The downside is that it's easy for people to forget. On the plus side, you can view it from the perspective that we respect your time. So, here I am reminding you there's plenty going on in the Rosieverse and MoTaverse. And here's my latest Rosieland Roundup for quick access. https://lnkd.in/daq2-_Tz
