Always humbled to chat with Dr. Jennifer Isern, CFA and Karl Unterschuetz about the access to capital and finance. Justin Angle, the consummate host, always a pleasure to meet with your inquisitive mind and, hopefully, provide some insights. Great episode, but I'm biased when it comes to business finance! Market opportunities exist in Montana for funders across industries- how can we help them to reach new markets and how can we support existing programs that make a difference? Dr. Isern mentions three things to do, if she had a magic wand, to support Montana: 1) how do we make entrepreneurs aware of existing programs? 2) legislative funds to scale up existing, strong government programs, and 3) exploring public-private funding so that everyone can obtain more deals in portfolios for lenders and investors. Montana is fortunate to have Karl and Dr. Isern identify gaps and bottlenecks in the business funding ecosystem, but even more so as they continue to dedicate themselves to uncovering solutions with statewide stakeholders. Special thanks to Katie Rollyson, Amber Gomez Mace, and Wells Fargo for their support in producing the Access to Finance reports and Access to Finance Micro- Reports which can be found on my website: www.umt.edu/real-women or Karl's website: https://lnkd.in/gM2ejA_G.
