ML Engineer(Process Optimization) | Embedded System(Intermediate) | Expereienced Field Engineer (Industrial Engineering)
Dear incoming Fresh men, Congratulations on embarking on this exciting new journey at your respective universities! As you begin this chapter, I want to share some advice that can help you make the most of your time on campus and set the stage for a successful future. Have an Overcoming Mindset: University life will present challenges, but it's essential to approach them with a mindset focused on overcoming obstacles. Embrace difficulties as opportunities for growth and learning. Resilience and perseverance are key to turning challenges into achievements. Take Advantage of Campus Opportunities: Your university years are filled with opportunities waiting to be explored. Join societies and clubs that align with your career goals. These organizations offer networking opportunities, skill development, and experiences that will be invaluable as you progress in your career. Stay Active and Involved: Avoid the temptation to become complacent. Actively seek out opportunities that challenge and help you grow. Remember, there is no excuse for failure when you have the resources and opportunities to succeed right at your fingertips. Be Proactive About Your Career: A friend of mine Michael Famakinde once shared some wise words: "Be stingy with your career." Protect it, nurture it, and prioritize it above distractions. Your career is a journey that requires attention and effort, so invest in it wisely. Make Decisions with Purpose: Approach your decisions as though your future depends on them—because it does. Be decisive and thoughtful, and remember that you are the one who will face the consequences of your choices. Make decisions that align with your goals and aspirations. As you settle into life at your various universities, remember that the choices you make today will shape your tomorrow. Embrace every opportunity, stay focused on your goals, and don't hesitate to seek help and guidance from your professors and peers. Wishing you all the best for a successful and fulfilling academic journey. See you at the top! I am rooting for you. Yes, YOU! Warm regards, Olamide Abimbola #NCAT

Hi everyone, I am thrilled to announce that my research paper titled "Taking India's Exports To One Trillion Dollars: Way Forward And Plugging The Loopholes" has been published on Niti Tantra's website! You can read the full paper at https://lnkd.in/geCHrxT9 I am incredibly grateful to my mentor, Ritwik Mehta, for his invaluable advice, insightful suggestions, and unwavering support throughout my research journey. His mentorship played a pivotal role in shaping the final draft of my paper. NITI TANTRA, the public policy think tank where I am currently interning, stands out as the ONLY think tank offering comprehensive assistance on writing research papers entirely "free of cost". Here's why it's exceptional: ➡️Weekly Sessions- are conducted to discuss and brush upon ongoing world affairs. The mentors allow flexible submission deadlines, ensuring that quality isn't compromised under time pressure. ➡️One-on-one meetings: are held after the mentors have reviewed the paper and thereafter suggest some changes or approve it. I am honoured to be part of such an incredible organization. Data Scientist | Unique Data Insights to power Industry | Ideation --> Product | RF Engg, Data & AI ML Consultant | Career Coach | Educator | Astrophysicist | Professor at IIT Indore | Oxford, Wisconsin alumnus
Degrees or Skills? What matters more? Degrees Don't Define Success. (Real-world Skills Matter More) It's easy to get caught up in the prestige of top institutions like IITs and IIMs. But let's face it, the real world doesn't always operate within academic bubbles. While some argue that professors disconnected from practical realities fuel arrogance in graduates, success stories like Ambani and Adani prove degrees aren't the sole measure of intelligence or capability. Why focusing solely on academic pedigree can be misleading? 📍 Problem-solving, adaptability, and communication are crucial for success, regardless of your degree. 📍 Practical experience often surpasses theoretical knowledge in tackling real-world challenges. 📍 Innovation and risk-taking, key ingredients for success, can flourish outside traditional educational structures. ✔️ Pursue knowledge, but don't limit yourself ✔️ Seek diverse experiences, develop practical skills, and nurture your entrepreneurial spirit. ✔️ Focus on learning, not just degrees ✔️ True growth comes from continuous learning and applying knowledge to solve real problems. ✔️ Don't get caught up in the herd mentality. ✔️ Explore alternative paths and carve your own unique success story. Success isn't confined to the walls of prestigious institutions. Embrace lifelong learning, hone valuable skills, and dare to chart your own course! #education #skills #success #entrepreneurship #students #careeradvice

🔍 Bridging the Gap Between Academia and Industry 🤝 In academia, the emphasis often lies on theory and research, leaving graduates less equipped for the practical demands of industry roles. But, it's within non-academic realms where the majority of job opportunities exist. It is no wonder that many students struggle to meet industry expectations early in their careers or encounter difficulties securing employment in industrial settings. Likewise, companies face their own challenges in recruiting and training fresh talent to align with their operational needs. At NaviClar, we're actively addressing these issues. Through focused discussions, we're gaining valuable insights into the hurdles faced by both students and industries. Our goal is to develop strategies that benefit all parties involved. “Life is what happens to us while we are making other plans.” Life often defies our expectations, leading us down unforeseen paths. Moments of uncertainty and fear try to tear us apart, and it’s in these times, I remind myself, "Maybe the Universe has better plans." My journey has been a series of unpredictable twists and turns, but looking back, I cherish a collection of the most beautiful stories. I aimed for a BTech but discovered my true calling in Literature and Economics. After college, I planned to take a gap year but instead ended up joining Mamaearth as a Management Trainee, or Young Ninja, as they call it, which turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to me. Now, I'm excited to announce that I’ve joined Masters' Union for their PGP program in Technology and Business Management. Here’s why I chose this path: ➡️ Learn by Doing Masters' Union transcends conventional MBA programs by focusing on real-world business challenges. ➡️ Learn Directly from Future Recruiters Here, at Masters' Union, students gain insights directly from top CXOs, MDs, and startup founders. Your future recruiters are the once’s teaching you courses. ➡️ Integration of Tech and Management The program blends business and tech skills, an essential combination for today's rapidly evolving landscape, especially for those from non-tech backgrounds. I extend my gratitude to the alumni who supported me in making this decision. Special thanks to Pratham Mittal, Mahak Garg, and my interviewer Lan Ma for believing in my potential. A special mention to Shashank yadav for his spot-on predictions about the future of my journey at MU and his out of the box interview tips. I look forward to making a meaningful impact and seizing every opportunity that comes my way. #musaidyes #intotheunion #PGP #TBM

Faculty Visiting Hours ================ This post is addressed to all MBA students. In your MBA journey, there could be a list of mistakes that must be avoided. One such mistake is not making the best use of faculty visiting hours. Traditionally, visiting hours have been an open invitation for students to engage with faculty—discussing course material, seeking guidance on career paths, and getting advice on research or projects. It's a missed opportunity if you are not making use of it. Why is this a missed opportunity? Here are a few ways visiting hours can significantly impact your academic and career journey: Clarify Concepts: Whether it’s a complex topic or an assignment, visiting hours give you one-on-one access to faculty, allowing for personalized guidance and deeper understanding. Going beyond the classroom: You want to dig deeper into the subject. What could be a better way to go beyond the course outline and the standard readings? Career Mentorship: Faculty members often have extensive industry experience and networks. Visiting hours are a great time to seek advice on internships, job opportunities, and career direction. Research Collaboration: For those interested in academic research, visiting hours are an ideal space to explore research ideas, potential collaboration, or simply to gain insights into the research process. Build Relationships: Beyond academic performance, visiting hours help build meaningful relationships with professors, which can lead to valuable recommendations or networking opportunities in the future. #selfleadership
