ECOMO-EIC Project, funded by the European Union EU, is part of the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) 'EIC Pathfinder Challenge: Carbon and Nitrogen Management and Valorization' and joins forces with seven other Pathfinder projects: DAM4CO2, CONFETI Project EU, SUPERVAL, Mi-Hy, ICONIC, HYDROCOW and MINICOR. Great presentations from "Pseudobob Spongebob" Jonathon Angell, Pradeep Dewapriya, Jochen Mueller, and Andrew Matheson. Particularly noteworthy was the ongoing need for tighter regulation before these proprietary PFAS are released into the market (often in consumer products). Likewise, the potential PFAS streams emanating from recycling and fires involving the lithium family of batteries. For reference, #NICNAS, predecessor to Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) did work 2002-2008 on 200 PFAS, and now, depending on the database, there are up to 20 million PFAS compounds.
