I think in the long run, junior engineers might get replaced with this AI software engineer stuff, and only senior-level engineers will then be available for this kind of assignment, in addition to reviewing to make the AI better there's still a need for human input but it will be minimal and will only be for people with loads of experience. So, engineering teams will get leaner with only people with certain specialities and levels of expertise and shipping will be faster. That's the way I see it.
