🎒 Supporting DEIB in School Systems 🎓 As the new school year begins, it's essential to focus on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) within our educational institutions. It's not enough to merely discuss diversity—a committed effort must be made to create an environment where all students feel welcome, respected, and supported. Schools need to understand the importance of DEIB to establish a systemwide response that ensures every student feels a sense of belonging. Dismantling educational inequity is vital for students and their families, especially when a significant portion of the school system consists of historically underrepresented communities. If achieving DEIB in the broader community is challenging, it's even more critical to establish it within classrooms and school systems. By doing so, we can help change the narratives that students and their families write, providing them with a more equitable and inclusive educational experience. Let's work together to build an educational system that reflects our diverse world and ensures that all students have the opportunity to thrive and succeed! In a landmark move to enhance educational #opportunities, the University of Management and Technology - UMT, under the visionary leadership of its Chairman and President, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, signed an MoU with the Muslim World League (MWL). Secretary General Muslim World League H.E Dr Muhammad Bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Saudi Ambassador H.E Nawaf bin Saeed Al Malki and Professor Sajjad Qamar were present in the signing ceremony. The agreement aims to foster collaborative efforts to promote girls’ education in #Muslim communities, focusing on marginalized groups facing economic and cultural barriers. The agreement outlines a strategic partnership aimed at, Providing #scholarships to female students from underserved communities, Conducting capacity-building programs to ensure sustainable educational development, launching community #outreach initiatives in collaboration with local schools and organizations, and promoting the values of #tolerance, peace, and cultural harmony through education.
