When a leader celebrates his people, even as they leave the organization, it...
- Reinforces a company culture where employees feel appreciated
- Builds the company's employer brand, because if they treat people so well when they're leaving, imagine how they treat the people who don't
- Raises employees' standards, so that when they look for new jobs, they look for employers who treat their people well
- Serves notice to other employers about how people should be treated, raising the bar
- Gets attention for the company, because so few leaders/companies do this
Incidentally, I'd love to feature CEOs other than Jason McCann, but he's featuring prominently in my LinkedIn feed these days.
If you know of any executives, founders or entrepreneurs who set a similar example, please let me know!
Good Luck, Cristen Richard!!
While we will miss having her as a key member of our Workspace Design Team, we're so excited for Cristen's next chapter.
Mississippi State University's College of Architecture & Design will thrive under her instruction!
The future is bright!!
