Ushering new year with old hangovers! Most people I know start a new year with new goals and renewed enthusiasm. Some even start the count down from Christmas. But, what I don't understand is why do we embrace the new year with the heavy hangover of the previous year? The very idea of ushering in the new year is to be in high spirits, not to be high in spirits plus some isn't it? In a way, we are welcoming the new year like old wine in a new bottle because we are also bringing the previous year's hangover and most wake up with hangover remedies. People high on spirits suffering hangovers on new year day, do you think it creates seamless integration of the previous year into the new year? I don't know, I see a lot of kids hung over and puking sick. And that's not how I want to embrace another year. I understand that different people have different ways to celebrate but I am definitely curious to understand this. Did you usher the new year with old hangovers high on spirit or just with high spirits? PS: Not judging either way, so no offense. But definitely curious to know why we do what we do. #newyear #2025 #spirits #spirit #life #lifeslittlelessons

Let’s talk about expectations for a second. I’ve carried and birthed twin boys. My body has done incredible, hard, life-changing work. So why on earth would I feel the need to squeeze myself back into something from a past season of my life, like this? Now, in this case, we’re talking about costumes—but the point applies to those jeans in the back of your closet, the ones you’re “hoping” to fit into someday. The ones silently judging you every time you look at them. Here’s the thing: your body changes. Your life changes. And that’s a beautiful, normal, human thing. Holding onto unrealistic goals tied to clothes that don’t reflect who you are today? That’s not motivation—it’s unnecessary pressure. Instead of chasing old sizes, let’s celebrate finding clothes that honor and fit the body you have now. Because you deserve to feel confident, comfortable, and seen—not in some hypothetical future, but right now, in this moment. That is why I created Spirit Week! I want to give you the tools to get you going in the right direction as we kick off the New year. Grab your FREE spot:

Sometimes, the most magical moments happen when we step into the light—cheering each other on with courage, heart, and a little sparkle of possibility. This year, we had the joy of watching Autumn and her cheer team light up the Grapevine Christmas Parade of Lights! ✨ Seeing their boldness and teamwork reminded me how much growth happens when we decide to show up — even when it’s a little scary. Whether it’s walking down Main Street or stepping into a new season of life or work, having support and a vision makes all the difference. It’s not always about having the “perfect” plan, but about having the courage to start. 💡 What lights are calling you forward? 💡 Where do you need a little extra clarity or cheer? We all have a parade to step into — and it’s not about perfection. It’s about momentum, movement, and the willingness to step into possibility. What’s one step you’re ready to take as you end the year? Drop it in the comments — I’d love to cheer you on! #StepIntoTheLight #MomentumMatters #PersonalInnovation #GrapevineParadeOfLights #IGNITEYourLife #ClarityAndCourage #InnovationInLife

Hello my lovelies 👋🏻🤩 And not just Happy (nearly) Weekend today, but Happy (nearly) Holidays as well... 🎄🕎 Having given you a bit of a heads-up and some support for your planning for 2025 over the last couple of weeks in the form of the SWOT and SLEPT evaluations, plus a lovely glossary of terms, the second last post in this series is about the importance of understanding your suppliers. I mean REALLY understanding them - not just how they see you and the relationship they have with you. But what they're planning in terms of new products and services, and the developments and innovations within their sector. And finally, what THEIR hopes and aspirations are. Because, although you are paying them, you (and they) need to know that *it's not all about you*. If you know how to improve your relationship with them, things stop being purely transactional, and move to more of a strategic partnership... Plus the insights and information you gain will be absolutely priceless when it comes to planning the year ahead. And yes, there's a downloadable template to help you do this 😎 Happy holidays!

Uninspiring architecture harms not just mental health but also cognitive performance, especially in vulnerable groups like children. Adding on to this, my research shows that school design and various environmental factors like lighting and air quality—directly impacts student attendance, focus, and learning. As we rethink cities in 2025, let’s also design environments that inspire and engage for better outcomes. #UrbanDesign #Education #WellBeing
