Tomorrow, I’m having a small procedure, and it got me thinking about patient care from a new perspective. 🏥💬 In my role, I’m usually on the contact center side, helping healthcare and life sciences companies provide exceptional experiences. But this time, I’m in the patient’s seat. The process has been smooth—I received a phone call, a text with the option to cancel or reschedule, and a link to pre-check-in. The link provided all the details, including the address with a clickable map you can open in Waze, an option to add the appointment to my calendar, and even a photo of my doctor. As someone with a busy schedule, these reminders are super helpful. This experience made me think about what truly matters in patient interactions. What frustrates you the most about office/patient communication... Inconsistent updates or reminders? Lack of detailed information before appointments? Difficulty in rescheduling or canceling? And on the flip side, what makes great communication... Timely and clear reminders? Easy access to pre-check-in options ? Personal touches like a photo of your doctor? #Healthcare #PatientExperience #VoiceOfThePatient

Hi guys just a polite reminder to avoid locum booking platforms and only book direct with the employers. If you want better rates stay away from locum platforms and negotiate directly. Build up a relationship with the employer. You’re not just a number on the Gphc register or a booking platform. You bring unique clinical skills and business acumen to the table. Reach out to employers and work with them. Create opportunities so you both benefit.

A person I know recently requested reasonable accommodations from their employer as a result of their neurodiversity. One of the requested accommodations was a meeting agenda 24 hours in advance of a meeting requiring their attendance. The employer will not provide any accommodations, such as a meeting agenda, until medical documentation is received by the employer (the person is now obtaining that medical documentation). My question is this: how is providing a meeting agenda to all employees (not just those who request reasonable accommodations) an “unreasonable” request? #diversityequityinclusion #diversityatwork #meetings
