"Encapsulating complexity" - I love it! Dealing with complexity (and uncertainty) is essential element in enabling AI at Scale. Guided by good results in software development (containers enabling portability and hiding that complexity) and applying them on data, Nextdata is showing us the way. We had some very interesting conversations over breakfast. A couple of non dlt points: - In a city like London, just like in Berlin, you have only a couple dozen freelancers with great reputations. What can I say, people are risk averse. - the new GPT with chain of thought could solve problems we couldn't solve before. One use case that comes to mind is pushing standardisation beyond ingestion and transformation, all the way to metrics. With "test values", an AI could figure out how to reverse engineer metrics from things like undocumented product dashboards (like, which transaction states and dates go into a montly Stripe MRR?). Crazy how fast things are changing. Where will we be in a few years?
