Did you know that at Sarla Performance Fibers Limited, we use zero liter of water per kg material, owing to our Waterless Dyeing technique? This means a significant reduction from the 60-70 liters typically consumed in regular dyeing processes. What exactly is Waterless Dyeing? Also known as dope dyeing, it's a technique where color is added to the polymer solution before extrusion, eliminating the need for water in the dyeing process. This technique allows the color to be incorporated into the fiber itself, resulting in yarns or threads with superior colorfastness and resistance to fading, even after prolonged exposure to sunlight or washing. This also results in ultra-soft materials, like our #Nylon yarns. Dope dyeing is considered an environmentally friendly method because it reduces water consumption, energy usage, and chemical waste compared to traditional dyeing processes. While we still offer traditional dyeing methods, we prioritize the use of our waterless process wherever it fits.
