Yesterday, I had the opportunity to share our thoughts in a strong panel at PropTech Connect. Together with Dominique Gonfard, Steven Newman, Andrew Knight, Calle Wettergren Henriksson and Grigor G. Hadjiev we discussed how to leverage data in your decarbonization journey. It was great to notice the market is maturing and we agreed on the statement that how to get data to data of your buildings (BMS or utility bills), what type of data quality and integrity and what environment to contextualize this data in (Digital Twin or compliance report) all have serious impact in how much decarbonization you can reach with either control or advice leading to manual changes. On stage the industry seems to be miles ahead. However, the reality is that 97% of commercial real estate is energy label B or worse. So towards 2030 and 2050 targets we still need to make immense steps to leap forward.
