Congratulations to Fluid Wire Robotics for the successful completion of a new #funding operation: Deep Blue Ventures (DBV), the venture capital fund specializing in #DeepTech technologies and managed by Deep Ocean Capital SGR S.P.A., announced a strategic investment in the #startup which brings the overall financing round to a total of €1.2 million! Founded as a spin-off of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa, Italy, Fluid Wire Robotics is a virtuous example of #technologytransfer between university and industry. The start-up, thanks to its proprietary transmission #technology called “Fluid Wire”, develops modular electric robotic arms capable of facing the challenges of the most extreme environments existing in the world, such as radioactive zones, #space, underwater environments and explosive atmospheres. Deep Blue Ventures' entry, which concludes the #investment round, further reinforces the start-up's #growth strategy aimed at validating the technology in real-world settings, refining its #robotic solutions, and expanding its presence in key markets. Electric aircraft startup BETA TECHNOLOGIES has raised $318 million in their Series C 💵 The round was led by QIA, with support from Fidelity, TPG Rise Climate, and United Therapeutics, bringing total lifetime funding to over $1 billion. This capital will go towards production and commercialization of BETA’s electric aircraft, electric propulsion technology, and multimodal charging systems. ⚡️ BETA’s technology allows for increased payload and range. They are focusing on both traditional fixed wing planes and electric vertical take off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. ✈️ The startup is targeting military and commercial customers by developing both cargo and passenger configurations of both aircraft.
