President | Helping businesses accelerate with advanced voice and data solutions.
Was great to run into my old friend, Randall Rosenbaum, at today's HIA-LI trade show!!
Randall made some great contributions in the corporate world for several years and I can tell you that because I had first-hand experience with him when we both worked at Lightpath. He cares deeply about his community and, today, Randall is Mayor of Flower Hill Village on Long Island!
Congrats again Randall!

How are you elevating and mentoring the women around you? Empowering other women and members of marginalized groups is crucial for social change and has transformational impact on the lives of others. If your title defines you as a leader, and you are not mentoring and elevating others in these groups, then you are not a leader. Period.
If you are a company, mentorship within the organization should not be a volunteer program but required of your leaders. An annual bonus is usually based on overall company and individual performance. Those performance metrics should not just be based on a leader's contribution to company success but also their contribution to the growth and mentorship of individuals within the organization.
As a consumer, know where you are putting your money. Take time to thoughtfully research the companies and products you spend money on. What are they doing for these groups? How diverse are the decision-makers, including board members and executives with the most power, such as the CEO, CFO and COO.
Women are described as the "super consumer" due to their consumer power. We have known for awhile that women drive the world economy. Globally, they control about $20 trillion in annual consumer spending, and control or influence 85% of consumer spending. That power and influence continues to expand across industries. How are you using your consumer power? We have yet to fully tap into our consumer power.
We sometimes forget how much superhero power we have in driving the change are hearts ache for. Let's continue to find ways to use our power for positive change. Most importantly, many of us have yet to tap into our personal power. It starts by recognizing the power within self. We must individually and collectively help others like us embrace and ignite our personal power to drive impactful change.
When we invest in elevating women and some of the most marginalized in our communities and organizations, we all rise.
