Two Key Points: #First, Incense is a topic so closely related to the common people that upon hearing about it, people even come to the expo to collect samples. Even if there's another show running at the expo venue, people out of curiosity get drawn to the incense show just by seeing its name. Since our show already has a significant footfall of trade visitors, it becomes necessary to filter these people so that the exhibitors' time is saved and they meet only relevant people. This is the sole reason why a visitor fee of Rs. 100 has been implemented. We are receiving 10-20 visitor registrations daily, which is a very positive sign. #Second, we are receiving calls from many people interested in visiting the show asking if any new exhibitors have joined the Hyderabad show, as they would only visit if that's the case. For your information, in the Hyderabad Agarbatti Expo, 80 companies are associated with Incense Media as exhibitors who have never participated in our show before. In other words, this time you will see 40% new exhibitors, which is a big number and achievement in itself. Among these 80 new exhibitors, there are all kinds of businesses like incense manufacturers from Bangalore, firms setting up perfume machinery, aluminum can manufacturers, camphor brands, camphor raw material suppliers, and many other chemical manufacturers and suppliers, etc. We are hopeful that the Hyderabad show will set new records of success, which we are seeing on the ground. Read our FuturePrint Drupa Headline Review here. Messe Dusseldorf has now published that 170,000 trade visitors attended drupa 2024. This compares with 260,165 in 2016, and that is a huge decrease. There was also a lower number of exhibitors compared with 2016 - 1,825 v 1,643 in 2024. Organisers also claim there are a record number of deals done at the show this year, and this makes sense as the quality of visitor profile allied to the fact people attended to 'buy v shop' due to changing buying behaviour and this aligns with this claim. So despite the drop in numbers broadly the show was a success!! While it is important to note this drop in attendance, it should not come as a huge surprise after 8 years, a global pandemic, and then huge volatility, inflation, energy price increases, geopolitical crises, skills shortages, marketing and buying change and fast-shifting demand. 2024 was always going to be a very different drupa compared with 2016.
