For the last couple of days, I have been exploring QuestDB and it's internal and found a very fascinating organisation to contribute. QuestDB is a high-performance, open-source database for time series data. It focuses on fast ingest, blazingly fast queries and superior developer experience with SQL and open formats. Fortune 500 companies such as Airbus and Yahoo deploy QuestDB for large-scale, data-intensive production systems, some of which serve close to a billion users. The best way to understand the codebase is to contribute to it: ) Step 1: Setup the codebase and run it locally. Step 2: Reproduce the bug locally to observe the workflow. Step 3: Seek that specific configuration, where we can add a patch to fix the bug, instead of exploring all codebase Step 4: Update or add a new test case to prevent any further issues.
