Thankyou so much to Bevan Brittan LLP for providing valuable insight into the apprenticeships offered at the firm, as well as other routes into the world of law. Discussing tips for applications, day to day work life and many other things, it was made evident that Bevan Brittan provides an environment for students to thrive and fully explore the field of law. The teams call today, at college, poised the all important question for me personally- university or degree apprenticeship? Although I still have a year decide, this information meeting has definitely highlighted the vast benefits of choosing to complete an apprenticeship. Thankyou again!

I had the best apprenticeship in sales and I didn’t even know it… Brian McDermott an ex-royal marine, boxer, rugby player and coach, coached me for 8 years. He's the most successful super league coach in history. He would stand in front a room of 40 men and tell us stories of the Marines, Groves vs Froch, and more importantly stories about ourselves. When I asked him why he thinks he was successful as a coach, what made the difference? He said “I could get us to run through more brick walls than other teams” He also said that "Everyone has a similar game plan; it's the team that executes theirs the best that will win it." So he went to work in selling us a game plan, week in week out. We covered more ground than all teams every week and we had a way of attacking through our defence. It was something to get excited about. It was something different, developed uniquely for us as players. There was faith and trust in certain players to carry out certain and invaluable processes. There was connection to us as people. Sounds like a good business right? Whether that’s a ceo selling a strategy or a salesperson selling a holiday, that’s how you want to feel isn’t it? The game plans were such a hard way to play the game that sometimes we wouldn’t be physically in the position to even buy the game plan, let alone follow through every game. But we knew we had something unique and we stood out. So we wanted it, we believed in it and we wanted to execute. I know that the WHAT matters, but the HOW matters even more so. Don’t just write words on a wall. Don’t deliver a sanitised game plan or strategy. And if there’s fear around doing anything different, then that’s exactly where you should go.

🌟 Just wrapped up my first #UN conference experience, and what a journey it was! 🚀 From the very start to the end, I was involved in the #INFF High Level Side Event at the FfD Forum in New York, giving support from the UK. We were part of multiple events and published our INFF flagship report: Making finance work for people and planet. Needless to say, every day since the start of the preparations brought new sets of challenges. Priorities shifted constantly, and all tasks seemed urgent at first. But later, I learned to navigate and took one step at a time. From managing social media to designing the cards, tweaking narratives, supporting the report publication, monitoring, and a thousand other things, it was a whirlwind! Key takeaways: ✅ Teamwork is the ultimate winning skill to have (It's a marathon, not a sprint)🦸♂️🦸♀️ ✅ Be always ready to change, learn and make improvements (I lost count of the edits I made) 📚💡 ✅ Confidence is key - speak up when something doesn't feel right.🗣️💪 ✅ Don't hesitate to seek help when needed.🤝🆘 ✅ Attention to detail is critical (double-check if needed)🎯🔍 Finally, witnessing our team's collective effort transform into a successful event was incredibly fulfilling. 🎉 Not every day, there will be a big challenge at your doorstep and even if it scares you, I think it is worth giving a try.
