They will continue to support national and regional charities and have pledged £1.2m in funding to the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust, as well as donating £2.33m to local frontline charities through the Agency Giving Fund. They have also committed £100,000 to their Community Champions Scheme and donated £370,000 to The Farm Safety Foundation - an independent registered charity founded and funded by NFU Mutual. Public Trust in Charities Hits Ten-Year High 📊 New research from the Charity Commission reveals public trust in charities is at its highest level in a decade, now scoring 6.5 out of 10. This positive trend comes after a period of recovery from previous scandals, with 58% of people expressing “high” trust in charities. 🙌 While more people are turning to charities for vital services like food, financial, and medical support, there has been a decline in the percentage of people donating. Small charitable organizations now require to make an application for reregistration in 10 years from presently 5 years, easing their administrative burden. For this, small charitable organization means an organization whose total income before giving effect of section 11 and 12 does not exceed INR 5 crores rupees. Further, this income limit has to seen for the 2 previous years preceding the previous year in which such application is made. Effectively, most of the small registered charities who got continuation of registration in the year 2021 by a simple application, will continue to be a registered charities till March 2031. #UnionBudget2025# #Indiancharities#
