♻️🍃 Give your spring cleaning some meaning. Did you know that donated clothes, shoes, and textiles have helped to raise over £1,000,000 for our charity? Today, on #GlobalRecyclingDay, we asked Critical Care Paramedics Tracey and Matt to offer up some of their outdated outfits at one of our new recycling banks. 👚👗👟 We work with Recycling Solutions to receive a share from the sale of your donated items, which are either recycled or sold to second-hand clothing traders. It means we receive a sustainable monthly income, at no cost to us. Head to the Recycling page on our website to find the location of your nearest clothing bank ▶️ https://bit.ly/2Fx9sdb #AirAmbulance #Sustainability #Recycle

Do you have items sitting around that need to be donated? Rather than take them to a big charity shop that might put them in landfill, get a bag from ThredUp. You may not make much $, but that’s not the point. ThredUp makes sure none of the garments go to landfill. If they can’t be sold, they are given to textile recyclers to get a second life. This is one small step you can take to help our planet. 🙏🏻💙 #imageconsulting #imageconsultant #stylecoach #bethanysiggins #sustainabletips #sustainablestyle #slowfashion #thredup

I help seniors with their STUFF. Downsizing Expert at EasyRightsizing.com and Owner at Changing Spaces SRS
Please, oh please, make 2024 the year you get rid of your storage unit! Paying money each and every month to store items you aren't using is a waste of money - you've likely already spent more on the rental of the storage unit than the value of all the items you are storing. Make it a goal to empty out items from your storage unit -- sell, donate, recycle, and toss the items in there. If the items are heavy, you may need to enlist the help of movers, but in the long run, it will be worth it to be done paying the storage unit fees.

Happy Earth Day... I hate to think what my carbon footprint is with my love of travel, but here are some ways I try and reduce it: Re-use shopping bags ✔ Use a reusable water bottle ✔ LED light bulbs ✔ Use public transport when possible ✔ Re-cycle all applicable rubbish ✔ Shop in charity shops ✔ Donate old clothes to charity shops ✔ Turn plugs off at the wall when not in use ✔ What do you do in your personal and professional lives to help the planet? Any tips on other small things I can do to make a difference? #earthday #carbonfootprint

The majority of clothing sent to landfill is in good condition. #SecondHandSeptember isn’t only about buying second-hand, it’s about raising awareness on the proper way to handle clothing you no longer need or want. Here are a few suggestions: 1) Buy second-hand when possible 2) Mend and repair 3) Share used garments with family and friends 4) Donate or sell used garments 5) Recycle/Upcycle with Nucycl®

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐲 𝐬𝐨𝐚𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐬? 💡 Clean the World recycle old soaps from hotels to reduce landfill waste and provide essential hygiene products to those in need, helping to prevent diseases that are leading causes of death among children globally. Here how they do it: ➡ They collects used soaps from participating hotels, sanitizes them, and reforms them into new bars. These bars are then distributed to homeless shelters, disaster relief organizations, and developing countries, where they are desperately needed.
